The hotel in general was very good and on a par with the mid budget chain hotels such as Holiday Inn and Best Western but had the feel of a small independent hotel. The room was very tidy and clean, as was the bathroom which was only let down by not having a toilet roll holder and having to dislocate my shoulder to reach the toilet roll which was situated behind me when sitting.
The bar area was also very clean and cosy but very well stocked with a wide range of draught and bottled drinks alike.
For me breakfast was a little disappointing though. The quality of the food was very good but there was not enough of it. I like to get a good breakfast inside me when staying hotels that will get me through the day but only received 1 sausage and 1 egg where a couple at least is the norm. In addition, toast had to be requested, which, in itself is not a bad thing, it does make you a little self conscious that you are being overly greedy.
Overall though i must say i was very impressed with the hotel and would certainly consider staying in the future.

We stayed after going to Alton towers then to wait to pick up my son in Birmingham the next day. We were greeted by extremely friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. Rooms were really comfortable my son and I slept like babies pretty much as soon as our heads hit the pillow.
The hotel was easy to get to with lots of parking. We loved the look of the hotel and being high up and able to see everything for miles around.
The staff were delightful and seemed generally interested in each guests needs. Breakfast was delicious too
I was 175 miles from home for an exhibition. I needed a place for an overnight stay. I have stayed here before and once again I was very happy with the location and the facilities. Excellent facilities in both room and restaurant. Friendly and efficient staff. Good choice of food for both dinner and breakfast. Very good prices - I will be back. Nice to know before I arrived that I would be happy with where I would be staying.

Asked for twin room.
Asked for twin room. On arrival double bed which was seperated two very narrow single bed. No tv remote control had to ask second day no second set of towels. Third day no tea bags left. Only small things but annoying. People parking car under the window where there was no designated space when spaces available in car park. We had ground floor room and the fire door constantly propped open. No drawer or cupboard to store clothing.

No information given about how to get breakfast. No one to ' meet and greet'. Overall. the food aspect was the weakest link. Shocking delay with our meal despite pre- booking. Three children kept waiting over an hour.
