You can feel the heart of Emma in every corner. Stylish comfy room with view to the sea. Big and beautiful bathroom. Delicious breakfast.

My first Hostel experience (while i was waiting for my tent to dry!) and it was excellent. Location is stunning but only 5 mins to a shop and essentially on the NC500 route.
Set in 16th-century coaching inn, the Poolewe Hotel overlooks Loch Ewe and Inverewe’s botanical gardens. Local produce is served in Poolewe’s restaurant.

As an older property the room was well equipped with plenty of powerpoints and USB charging. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Restaurant onsite offered plenty of choices, food was good. Lots of parking.

Great place with spectacular, inspiring scenery, a nice little town with good facilities, nice cafe and farm shop as well as an excellent museum. The only downside when we visited was the local chippy only opened on Thursday, Friday and Saturday!😊

Gairloch is an easily accessed centre from which to explore the western Highlands; it also has some very acceptable sandy beaches. There are plenty of hotels and B&Bs in Gairloch, but many are closed in winter.

Glass bottomed boat trip to see the seals highly recommended. Knowledgeable skipper who allowed some of the children to drive the boat and earn a certificate.
Gairloch Museum, in a former nuclear bunker, is really well laid out and interesting for adults and children. The café is great too, with a view from its terrace.
Don't miss Inverewe Garden, and allow several hours to walk around this surprising collection of trees & plants which really shouldn't be able to thrive here! Great views too.

The accommodation here is amazing.
The accommodation here is amazing. It has friendly staff and the most beautiful view, from the lounge room it has one of the most breath-taking views in all of Scotland.
The hostel is remote from the main town (think car / not walk), but the caravan park is close enough to walk (15 mins). We experienced an unexpected 5 star dining experience at this restaurant and ate like kings!
Busy hotel (there were 2 coach tours checking in when I arrived) but the staff still provided a good service and were friendly and helpful at all times. Room was great for the price and very comfortable. Bathroom was perhaps a little 'dated' but was spotless and the toilet, shower and wash hand basin was more than adequate. Food for lovely and a good selection at the buffet breakfast (hot and cold food). I work in the area several times throughout the year and have stayed here a few times, never disappointed.
We were transferred to the sister hotel of the Gairloch Highland hotel so all the previous comments actually refer to The Old Inn. The Old Inn was comfortable with very friendly, helpful staff. We were able to eat in the hotel, where we had originally booked to eat, and the food was very good, the seafood in particular was outstanding. Andrew, the bar manager was great, Chatty, and helpful. Also would like to give Junior ten out of ten for helpfulness.
Booked the family room for two adults and a four year old. The second bed was a single so definitely enough room for the three of us. The bathroom was a good size and room looked out over the lake. Plenty of parking at the hotel. The grounds and area around the hotel offer great scenery. The food there was excellent. We had the “tasting menu” with matching wines for dinner and is really worth trying. The staff were all very helpful and accommodating.
Location and views amazing, on the flat to appreciate sea front, all staff genuinely friendly, very large room, massive bed (biggest on the whole NC500), good food with a mix of alternatives to fish, Hugh portions. Good breakfast. Not a boutique style decorated hotel but finished to a high standard compared to other hotels stayed in on this trip. Would like to return for a summer beach holiday.
From the outside the hotel is an attractive old building in a beautiful location overlooking the water. The staff we met were all lovely and extremely hard working. Everywhere was clean and the staff took care to clean tables etc. between customers. The food was ok but ordinary. Our room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable.
The hotel is lovely and it’s in a very pretty and remote part of Scotland. The room was very comfortable, the restaurant was amazing and staff was very pleasant. It is quite a fancy experience and a bit on the high-end side of things. However, there is no reception in the area and wi-fi doesn’t work anywhere apart from the reception.
The view, the view, and the view. A few steps and you're literally in the water, much, much closer than local hotels. We slept with the window cracked open to listen to the sea. We will be back next year for sure. Gairloch is a stunning place in its own right with everything you need.
Absolutely fantastic accommodations! Our room (#2) was spacious and beautifully appointed with modern and thoughtful amenities, and the view of the lake is sublime. Emma is a wonderful host who will go above and beyond for her guests. We would love to return one day and stay longer!
The Millcroft was clean & warm.
All the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Situated in Gairloch it’s in a good location and the view out from the hotel rooms is fantastic.
Hotel had free wifi and was quick.
Evening meal had decent choices to pick.
Very much appreciated the later check in which allowed me to make the most of the dry weather. Lovely comfortable accommodation. Very clean and cosy. Slept soundly. Has great views in good weather. Close to all the spots I wanted to photograph. Nice hosts.
We appreciated the space and cleanliness of the room. The owners of this B&B are very kind (once again thanks for everything!). They think of everything. This B&B is also very close to the starting points of some interesting hikes near Gairloch.
Accommodation is very close to Gairloch port, beach and town centre. Gairloch is a really nice place and a good 'basecamp' for exploring the Western highlands. Mobile phone service at the accommodation was fairly good, as was the TV and DVD.
There is a restaurant/bar on-site with excellent food. Loved the outside patio near the old bridge. The staff was pleasant and we had fun with the other guests. Hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere.
Beautiful old hotel with a lovely sitting area and bar. The room was fine however a little tired. Beds were comfortable. Convenient to have an on-site bar and restaurant.
The hotel is in the centre of Gairloch. The room had a separate seating area and a very good modern bathroom. The food was generally good when you got it.
