The hotel is situated on a main road about 3 miles out of Kidlington- no public transport so car needed. But it is also about 3 miles from Woodstock, at a cheaper price than many of their hotels, with guaranteed easy parking. Oxford is about 8 miles and the efficient Park and Ride about 5 miles- but beware of major road works at present (March 2024)

We went to the battle of the proms in Blenheim.
We went to the battle of the proms in Blenheim. The gig was Great. Weather was disappointing a couple of things got cancelled due to weather conditions. But as a whole the night was great very well organised. Blenheim grounds looked very nice . We skipped the tour of the palace due to price would have been around £140 for the four of us. . Went for meal at a local pub which was very nice.

The property was clean and light and good location to where we wanted .
The down fall we found was the bathroom is downstairs which was a issue for my mother who is 80yrs old . She found the shower uneasy as there was no grab rail and no hook got you clothes .
The kitchen we found was very limited utensils and and tableware no tea towel and no washing up liquid etc.
We asked for a tea towel which arrived straight away so very helpful

Stressful trying to get a new code for door.
Stressful trying to get a new code for door. Woman insisted on texting it rather than just telling over the phone. Wasted half an hour f our time. Modern tv, but didn’t have time to work out how to use it. Bed quite high. We are average height. So points in wall sockets were useful. Went to a local pub for food. The Black Horse. Food & service were OK. Has heating if required plenty of tea & coffee, fresh milk in fridge. Need to take some washing up liquid in a small bottle. Tea towel provided. Room clean and comfortable.
Nothing to like here avoid at all costs you book a room then they take the keys and not leave them in the box and the day to you your a scammer and remove the keys avoid this property at all costs the main guys name is too and also his wife messages you the same thing you won’t receive a refund I was left on the doorstep for hours upon hours md had to get a hotel after they kept calling me a scammer (too) your the scammer 😁🙏🤦♂️
Having only ever stayed in hotels, I was a little dubious when my partner surprised me with a nights stay at this property for our Anniversary. As soon as we got inside, any doubts were quickly removed, the property was delightful. Spacious, light, clean and cosy. The highlight for me had to be the beds. In all my 40 plus years, never have I slept so well. Thank you for your hospitality.
For our trip the location was very good - easy to access Oxford and Blenheim palace. The property was easy to find with parking on site and shops and pubs nearby. It was a very cosy and comfortable base for a weekend away with my mum and sister. A very good alternative to a hotel. tastefully furnished and a good sized kitchen. I'd definitely book this property again.
The house was beautifullu decorated, very comfortable and so conveniently close to kidlington centre. Barry the friendly owner met us at the property and showed us around. He provided good advice to the location and answered our questions efficiently. We would highly recommend this house. One bedroom had a double bed and the other room had three single beds.
It was the perfect retreat for my summer school in Oxford. It was clean, comfortable, and cute. The fan was great in the heatwave, and the ventilation was good. I appreciated the security. It was also very convenient for the bus stops into Oxford! Part of my stay, others stayed with me and it was roomy enough for 4 people.
Very friendly staff and delicious freshly cooked breakfast with variety.
The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable, I actually had a very good nights sleep.
The location is great and was convenient for our needs.
I would recommend for anyone wishing to visit the surrounding area and would stay again in the future.
The hotel was just what we expected. The room was spotless, and the bed comfortable
Staff were very helpful and polite, nothing was too much trouble.
Evening meal in the restaurant exceeded our expectations, large portions and well cooked.
Breakfast was excellent, again nothing too much trouble for the staff
Good location for park and ride to Oxford and we also found a wooded footpath nearby where we were able to walk to the local shops in Kidlington and keep away from the main road. The Lodge was well equipped and warm and good instructions given to us about how to access the building.
This is a great room with very good furniture. It is a short drive into Oxford, but you really need to have worked out before travelling where you will park. The Park and Ride is very close, so if you don't know the city well, that's the way to travel.
I chose this Hotel as a base for a day trip Oxford and attending a Concert at Blenheim Palace. The rooms are in a “ Motel” type set up so you don’t trouble anyone when arriving past closing time.
