The location is great and staff very helpful, we were allowed to check in early and we had a room upgrade
Breakfast was very acceptable. Rooms were adequate but decor rather dated and in need of upgrade to create a more modern/inviting appearance.
Stayed here last year for a hockey tournament at Timperley and good enough to come back. Will come back next year.

I only stayed one night to visit Old Trafford.
I only stayed one night to visit Old Trafford. Upon my visit we were extremely welcomed by very friendly hosts. I couldn’t fault the visit, room and amenities was very clean, comfortable, and minimal noise. There is a bar downstairs and overall such a nice atmosphere to drink in. We opted for an English breakfast and it was reasonable for the price and tasty. I did notice a 5* food and health rating. I would definitely book here again if I were to come back to Sale.

Deafening music from function room ruined our stay.
Deafening music from function room ruined our stay. Numerous stairs between entrance/bar/restaurant and rooms. Large room. Comfy bed. Very large bathroom with separate bath and shower. (Room3). No place in shower for toiletries. Bath does not have grab bars. Toilet roll sits on shelf behind toilet- so not in reach.

Excellent walk along the canal path from the accomodation to Sale, takes about ten minutes and here you can find areasonable range of shops and services along with a good selection of cafes and restaurants, Sale is not a place to spend the whole day but is worth having a few hours there before continuing the walk along the canal to Trafford Water Park.

The hotel is about 6 mins drive from Sale, nice handy place to stay. Easy access to Manchester by Tram from Sale. Short drive to Altrincham (recommend for dining and shopping) and very close to National Trust properties Dunham Massey and Quarry Bank Mill
Great little find for an overnight stay before flying out from Manchester Airport. The bungalow is located in the back garden of the house but access is via a key box so you can come and go as you please. Instructions and communications were excellent before arrival and although we didn't need to, we met our host who was lovely. The accommodation itself is all you need for an overnight stay with a comfy bed, warm room and decent shower. Would definitely recommend and will hope to use in the future when flying out from Manchester.
Easy to find, good off-road parking. friendly welcome, clean and comfortable room. an excellent home-cooked evening meal with sensible prices on both food and bar. This was a one-night stopover before flying out from Manchester the following day, and was as comfortable as any of the airport hotels (who also charge for parking!) at around 50% cheaper. With another holiday planned for November it’s safe to say we will be back. It’s also worth noting that locals use the restaurant as well, which is always a good sign.
I got a free update which was lovely and the man on reception was really nice. My new was big, l had free internet access and parking which is great! The bathroom was nice and clean and l could smell bleach in the hallway.
l had the fire escape door in my room, which was great as l could open it and get some fresh air in.
Overall, it’s really cheap so you can’t complain. A few nights stay would be better than 6 nights!
The hotel is gorgeous. I really appreciated the amenities, including the free bottled water. Such a small detail made a big impression. As beautiful as the setting was, it was the staff that really made it a worthwhile place to stay--especially the manager, who gave impeccable recommendations. Next time I'm in the area, I will absolutely stay at Normanhurst Hotel
Everything excellent, great value, great size rooms, great size bathroom, very clean and tidy, great food, great beers JW Lees MPA is a cracking pint, lovely staff will definitely stay again and use other hotels in the group if they are all of this standard.!! Short walk down the road to the canal or to grab the tram for easy access to Manchester.!!
I was visiting Manchester to see friends and this was really close by and convenient. The place was warm and spacious with a very comfortable bed. Hosts were really welcoming and helpful. The key safes were easy to operate; I was out for the evening and could easily let myself in on my return. Overall, excellent value.
The Penthouse is cleverly designed and well appointed. The location was great, moments from Sale - to Manchester tram station, almost on the canal which is lovely to walk along and surrounded by bars, restaurants and other places to eat. could have been noisy was it wasn’t .very effective and responsive heating system.
The hotel was lovely, clean and welcoming. Our room couldn’t be faulted, it was comfortable, clean, quiet and pretty! A great location and we really enjoyed staying here! If we were ever back up in Manchester we would definitely go back to stay here.
Very good location near to good transport links, opposite a Leisure Centre, 5 mins walk from Sale Town Centre. Staff very helpful. I didn't have breakfast as I think £9 is overvalued in general but other hotels are more expensive than this.
Loved the interior and the comfort of everything! It was super homely with really cosy rooms and well looked after kitchen and bathrooms. I highly recommend as this will be my first choice when coming to manchester again.
The apartment was great and newly remodeled. Everything seemed new and very tastefully decorated. It was close to Manchester sirport. Hosts were responsive. The apartment is very secure.
Surprisingly both my wife and I slept quite well but both agreed the pillows were a bit naff. TV was a good size for the room. Well located for getting in to Sale town centre.
Everything! The attention to detail in this lovely pub hotel was amazing! The staff is overly accommodating, lovely, and helpful. The food was delicious! Just wonderful!
