Everything. Our main take away from our stay was that everyone was so kind and friendly, from the receptionist, to the ladies at the spa to the lady who served us breakfast. it made our stay, that much more enjoyable.
We stayed in the Alder Lodge, which provided a little extra privacy and allocated parking, which was perfect. The room was very clean and the patio area was cute (although it rained, so we didn't use it). I spoke to the receptionist a number of times before our stay as it was a surprise for my partners birthday so I requested the room key early which was accommodated with zero issues.

The hamper breakfast is a great idea. Our room was quiet. Great for tired Thames path walkers
Nice market town next to the river. Offers a full range of shops, cafes and restaurants. We ate in the Old Post Office which was nicely laid out and served a wide selection of dishes. There are also a range of independent shops and walks along the river.

Lovely little town.
Lovely little town. We came for the 1940s day out at the steam railway. People very friendly. Had lovely meal at The Old Post Office. Nice pubs. Impressive Agatha Christie monument. Would definitely recommend a visit. Note that Sundays a lot of the shops and restaurants are closed.

Fab location & Good shower but that’s it.
Fab location & Good shower but that’s it. Disorganised in-house, very young people on breakfast duty with no idea whether ordered food or not. Minimal facilities , small room & filthy throughout apart from breakfast & dining area. Nobody on reception on arrival or vacating hotel. Should be fabulous but lack of management was poor.

Learn about Matilda and Stephen's history and stay for half a day, meandering through the town, visiting Agatha Christy place.
The Old Post Office is a nice place for food and drinks.
And the remains of the castle good to walk around
Visited for golf as part of a society. Beautiful golf course and outstanding facilities in a lovely part of Oxfordshire. If you are a golfer, despite heavy overnight rain the course held up really well with no flooding on the greens at all. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Food choice and quality excellent. The lodges are very new, modern in style, comfortable. Good parking too. No complaints at all. I think the whole group will be returning again soon.
The apartment was very central to Wallingford, and the facilities were excellent, with a very good TV (inc. Amazon video and Netflix), a coffee machine and everything else we needed.
There was plenty of parking available nearby, both overnight on-street near the house and for daytime in a public car park (about 200 yards way).
Lots of information about the town and surroundings, transport, resaurants etc.
What a lovely lace to stay from the moment we entered the hotel. Jim and his team were just fab. Nothing was too much trouble. They were fantastic with my granddaughters who are faddy eaters as well as being so nice to my grandson with autism. The rooms were clean and boutique in style. So Handy for wallingford and the river. The family and staff and goose the dog were amazing thank you
Cranberry Cottage is a delightful characterful property, really conveniently situated minutes from the centre of Wallingford. Sue and Brendan were very friendly and welcoming and the room was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Breakfast in the lovely farmhouse kitchen was brilliant and I especially enjoyed Sue's amazing home-made bread and jams.
Lovely, relaxed, friendly and comfortable hotel.
Room was was gorgeous. Bed was comfy and shower excellent. Gorgeous bath which I unfortunately didn't get time to use. Evening meal was tasty too.
Had to leave early both mornings so didn't get a chance to have breakfast. Also found out they have pet friendly rooms so will definitely return with my dogs.
Had an very relaxing, 2 night stay at this very smart, immaculately presented room at this lovely spot on the Thames. Excellent hosts, had thought of many neat little touches as described in other reviews, and all the information you could want. Excellent, historic small town of Wallingford, 5 minutes walk, and a good base for exploring the area.
Position was good, and the hotel had several public areas where a group could sit. Our bedroom had a lovely view of the river. The dinner menu had vegetarian and gluten free options(although not at breakfast). When paying our drinks were removed from the bill to compensate us from lack of gluten free items for breakfast, which was nice.
The staff are wonderful and offered a very warm welcome as soon as I walked in the door. The room was great with a very comfortable bed. The shower was strong and hot. The dinner menu was limited, but the pizza was great. Breakfast was very good with great sausages. I would love to stay in the hotel again.
I booked this hotel at late notice on a very good rate. I found the staff to be very friendly. My room was spacious , clean and comfy. The views were lovely looking out on the Thames. The hotel itself is a little tired in places but I had no complaints
Fantastic hotel and amazing staff who made us both feel very welcome.
Faye went over and above, recommending and booking a table for us at a local restaurant where the food was incredible.
Will definitely be returning!!
Very handy place to stay for the night when in Wallingford. Nice rooms, well furnished, good location. I arrived at 11PM and left at 8AM so didn't get to check out much apart from the room.
Excellent breakfast and good service. The room was fantastic and all the staff were very attentive. Spa facilities were great and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
