Liepaja is a "hidden gem" of Latvia! It has a wonderful, relaxed vibe. Food everywhere was delicious and fresh. The people seemed much friendlier than Riga. The beach is absolutely gorgeous and a perfect spot to spend a few days. There are also plenty of nature excursions to do in the area.VickieLatvia - 10Scored 10

My favourite places: market, beach, before beach is excellent walking parks, good restaurants and a lot more things to do. We didn't enjoy the roadworks. A lot roads are closed, a lot traffic jams. We recommend to visit Liepaja City!!!

I liked the free spirit of the inhabitants which contributed essentially to the development of the city today. I love the warmth in the eyes of the people I've interacted with and those I've met on the street and crossed our eyes. I like the mix of cultures living together. I love the contrast between old and new that can be seen in the constructions. The quiet nice city seems like time is stopped here. All large sports buildings are on the beach. At the same time parking on narrow streets. Seems like the city government planning all-new sports facilities for the beach but parking is not solved. Poor local people who are living there.... It is crowdy and all the narrow streets are fully parked. To go to the beach you need to go early morning or a few kilometers away. No parking slots or buildings in this city.SvetlanaEstonia

Staff exceeded our expectations by providing requested flowers and earlier breakfast than usual upon request. The art gallery brings the hotel to a whole new level of five-star hotels in Liepaja, Latvia. The ROMA bakery (and hence the breakfast goodies) were absolutely marvelous - excellent quality pastries, cakes and pies - highly recommended. Very spacious rooms because of the high ceilings, as the building was constructed back in the 19th century.
