This is hotel with great service, large room, comfortable bad with a good mattress. The room was cleaned every day. The location of hotel is off the road and far of the sea, you can rent a bake at the hotel.
We like everything except for one thing… very thin walls, you can hear everything, ever how the socket in the next room turn on.

Lots to do particularly if you want to scuba or snorkel.
Lots to do particularly if you want to scuba or snorkel. In my opinion it's more an adult destination as lots of bars and people openly smoke cannabis. Lots of mopeds racing around small streets. The food is great and value for money. If you enjoy travelling, take a boat taxi to other beaches or book a tour. There is plenty to do and see.

Travelling to Samui I was really disappointed with the snorkelling, luckily I had spare time at the end of the holiday where I hadn't booked & we took a 3 night trip to Koh Tao. It had the best beaches in Thailand in my opinion. Sairee beach had great restauarants, the Thai people were amazing (although this is the same wherever you go in Thailand). Getting around you really need a moped, which might put some people off.

A few days is nice here as it is a small island.
A few days is nice here as it is a small island. Great for diving and snorkling. However:
- The coral is dead unfortunately, the few turtles are harrassed by tourists and are not treated nicely, Shark bay is owned by a resort and they profit from the tourism to the sharks. I advice to stay away from this part.
- The island is not genuine Thai culture experience anymore but overrun by tourists unfortunately (March 2024). In the town there is not a spot without a scooter and party places. Weed places and stores everywhere and Western food. I would not recommend the town to people looking for culture, for genuine Thai experiences (except some restaurants) or for a quiet holiday if you stay close to town. Go look for accomodations far from the town centre and you will have an amazing time though (Jungle, freedom beach etc.)
- Scooters are for experienced people only, we saw too many crashes/falls and people with severe injuries. It is really not worth it to rent a scooter if you do not know how to drive uphill/mountains and on the left side. If you go for it, wear at least a helmet and your children too. So many people with babies? and little kids? without a helmet, like are you really risking that?
- Most of it you can just walk, walk or take a taxi if you are unknown with scooters

Our villa with own pool was the best.
Our villa with own pool was the best. If you dive and you are in your 20s you enjoy the place a lot. If you are older, it’s quickly seen.
Sairee beach area is not my place . Other parts of the island I did not see; difficult to go around.
I missed vegetables to eat on this island but fresh fruit shakes, I loved. Local food was cheap but delicious especially seafood.

Koh Tao isn't the biggest of islands, you can hire scooters but some of the island is different to access via scooter.
We stayed in Mae Haad and there are plenty of restaurants/bars to choose from some of them being beachfront.

The roads to many places are insanely steep.
The roads to many places are insanely steep. Two people on a rental motorbike could not make it up some hills. We are not heavy people and a couple times one had to get off and walk. Alternatively if you think your going to taxi everywhere bring a large stack of cash. 300-400 THB each way, everywhere you go and that''s an 8 min drive. Islands pretty small. Best to have a rental motorbike for each person but even that was to scary for my partner. Also this island is really all about diving and partying. Excellent if that's you jam.
Firstly, I’d like to say how nice and helpful the staff were. They picked us up from the pier and when leaving arranged a car for us, whenever we had problems with our scooter they helped us and they were extremely nice throughout our stay!
The room was great, bigger than what we originally had in mind, and very comfortable. just 3 minutes by scooter from Sairee beach, and we got it cleaned every day while we were gone exploring the island. We will definitely come back here again 😌 best stay I ever had.
Moov Inn was the last hostel I stayed in during my month long trip in Thailand and I can confirm that it was by far the best of them all.
The social area had an amazing vibe and the drinks were nice and cheap. More significantly, the hostel manager (Dao) is one of the loveliest people I have met during my holiday. From Korean BBQ’s to competitive pool games, there was a clear emphasis on ensuring those staying had a great time!
I fully recommend those travelling to Ko Tao to stay at Moov Inn!
It's very convenient place ,if you want to come to KO Tao and explore island on motorbike . Room was enough big and clean , restaurant , big shop market is in the same building , the same as motorbike rental with prices 200-350 bath , including breakfast it's not expensive option in KO Tao. If you're coming to KO Tao for party or explore around without motorbike that's not gonna be convenient place for you. Sairee beach will be better option for yo
This hotel is wonderful. Well designed rooms, comfortable amenities, excellent location, and friendly staff! Watching the sunset from the balcony was so relaxing, and having beachfront access was great! This hotel also had the comfiest beds and a great beach bar next to it! Breakfast is not included but there’s a great breakfast spot a 1 minute walk down the road with tons of options at cheap prices (Coconut Monkey).
We stayed at the Cabana for two nights. The room was excellent and very comfortable. The hotel had a great pool and a really good beach. The snorkelling spot was really good too. The hotel is also in a really convenient location and is just a short walk into town where to can find lots of bars and restaurants. If I was looking to stay on this side of the island again I would definitely consider Koh Tao Cabana.
First of all, this hotel is very different from other hotels from the beach. Because it’s elevated on the hill and situation away from the main tourist areas, the views are absolutely beautiful and the resort is peaceful. Secondly, the staff is very welcoming. They listen and try to work out any issues for you. Last, the room is very clean and spacious and comes with a nice balcony to watch the view.
The room was clean and comfortable. The location was nice and in town where the action is. The beach was perfect to watch the sunset. The pool was nice and good lounge area to sunbath. Motorcycle rentals were everywhere easy to get around. The free transport from ferry to hotel was so helpful and the free ride back to ferry. The front desk was always helpful and accommodating.
Fresh and spacious rooms in cool and unique design. Staff was very kind and helpful with everything.
Hotel is located on best possible site right on Sairee Beach with great restaurants everywhere.
Easy to rent a bike and get around the small island to visit the most beautiful places we have ever been to.
We extended our stay with one night due to all things above!
Everything was great here!
We arrived a few hours before check-in and were given our room with no problems.
The bed has nothing to envy to a 5 star hotel, the super friendly staff, Faa (I hope I write the name right) is an angel. We also rented the motorcycle with them and no problem at all..
Thanks for giving us the best 10 days on the island!
The welcoming staff - the pickup from the boat - the everyday shuttles to the city - the room was very calm and clean - very good standard - choose this hotel if you are staying in Ko Tao - it will allow you to have the call at night from the center but be at 8 minutes walk to city center and 5 minutes away from the best breakfast place.
The hotel is super clean and tidy, staff is very sweet and helpful. The room was equipped with anything, including umbrellas, a beach bag, and two sarong (I ended up purchasing one!). I also used the laundry service which was great and super fast. The pool is beautiful and relaxing although not sure how the bar service worked.
Beautiful hotel directly on the beach with direct immediate access to magnificent corals in the beach’s reef.
The family who owns the place were extremely nice and went above and beyond to help with all I needed.
Room was quite comfortable and extremely large.
Perfect place if you want to spend time away from the hassle
This place feels like home! Absolutely the nicest hotel in Koh Tao for the money. The people who work here couldn’t be sweeter or more helpful and the restaurant downstairs has delicious food. Do yourself a favor and just book here! Close to everything good near Sairee beach, including 7 eleven ;) I can’t wait to go back.
Pool was very nice after a day of diving or snorkelling. Small beach in front of the hotel although not Koh Tao's best. Short walk to all shops and restaurants and to the pier. Transfer back to the pier included. Nice breakfast.
We booked an overnight stay while visiting Koh Tao. The hotel was very nice and quiet, with super friendly staff who were able to organize a cab + boat for us with a good price to visit the island in the neighborhood.
This is the best place to stay in Ko Tao, the hotel manager is very friendly and you have this amazing bar in front with really good food for all the meals of the day. You can watch magic sunsets from here!
Nice property 10 minutes from Sairee beach
Quiet location
Big room
Good bed, not too hard
Very nice staff
Nice pool
Rented bike at hotel (essential for getting around the island easily).
