This is a beautiful small boutique hotel, modernised but strongly showing the moorish influence, and Seville like structure with a wonderful atrium centrally with pebble mosaic floor and muqarnas features. The rooms are very comfortable, good bed, tea/coffee making facilities ( no fridge), and ensuite with spa bath and a shower. The rooms are double glazed, so we found very quiet. We had a balcony one could see the Sierra Nevada. Central sited and really helpful reception staff. Breakfast arrangement with a local good cafe, is good value.

Ideal for a short city break. 2 hours by bus from Málaga, pre booked an early evening walking tour which was excellent, only 6 of us and the guide Irene was excellent. We also went right round on the hop on and off train which gave us a better picture of where each area was but we had to wait a good while for a train with 4 spaces.Although we couldn't get tickets for the Alhambra we went up by No 30 bus and walked down through the park by the river and back to town. We were there for Dia del Cruz so Granada was packed, women in flamenco dress.and decorated red crosses set out

Very beautifu city.
Very beautifu city. You need to reserve the ticket to Alhambra days early. To get around the city, the best way is to take the bus. You can buy the bus card from the tobacoo shop with credit card, and it only costs less than $0.5 per trip.

Granada is a must-visit place in Andalusia.
Granada is a must-visit place in Andalusia. It's easy to walk around the city. Alhambra and other sites are worth spending a couple of days, and understand the history of Moores in Spain for nearly 700-800 years!

The MASSIVE problem with Granada is the inability to obtain tickets to get into the Alhambra palaces. All tickets are sold months/weeks in advance . Guided tours are offered at vastly inflated prices and are also booked well in advance .Tickets should cost 19 euro but are impossible to obtain .you can walk in the gardens and gain entry to the Carlos v building and the associated museums inside plus a few other areas for free

We visited in mid-April.
We visited in mid-April. Beautiful weather, but because of its altitude and proximity to the Sierra Nevada mountains it was cool in the evening (cooler than Seville) so although shorts weather in the day, bring something warmer for the evening. Lots to see and do - our visit was a last minute booking and we couldn't get tickets for the Alhambra - they book out weeks/months in advance. Not too disappointed - we will have to come again :-)
lots of great restaurants to visit
Set in a building from the 16th century, the hotel was absolutely beautiful. The decor was traditional and opulent but not over the top and very comfortable. I was impressed with little touches like the complimentary bottle of cava in my room, the helpfulness of the front desk staff (especially Alejandro, Fernando and Laura) and the complimentary happy hour served in the grand central courtyard. The location was also great: near everything but still tucked away. As an affordable three-star hotel, Hotel Casa 1800 Granada way overdelivers.
what an amazing, unique boutique hotel right in the heart of Granada. we had a room with a private terrace and had amazing views of the sierra nevadas. the room was spotless and was stunningly decorated, with full kitchen facilities. the breakfast spread was abundant, with ala carte options each day in addition to the provided buffet. staff went above and beyond to ‘rush’ us a cooked meal on our first morning when we had to get to the Alhambra for our booked tickets by 9am. truly a superb hotel in Granada… we hope to return!!
The location of this apartment is fantastic - very close to all amenities and attractions and yet also very quiet - no traffic noise at all. The apartment is immaculate and equipped to a very high standard. I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment and will definitely be returning. I have been visiting Granada every year for over a decade now, staying in various hotels and apartments and this is by far the best accommodation I have stayed in.
The gem in terms of apartment stay in Spain trip. Very nice owner good communication in and out. The room is not super big but comfy and everthing been provided coffee, laundry facitliy etc. Upstairs you can dry cloth. The price is very competitive. Excellent location. 3 mins walk from most tapas bar. We stay 3 nights are very happy.
Everything. Location (right in middle of everything), cleanliness, price, staff. As an added bonus the lady at the desk was an American woman who lived in Spain for more than three decades, so it was great to pick her brain. But she also had an excellent recommendation for where to watch the sun set.
Christina was the best, such wonderful customer service. Additionally, the location is PERFECT! Walking distance from all sites in Granada, such a lively area! If we return to Granada, we would choose to stay here again! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality Hotel Duaro!
What a charming place! we stayed in the front room (room 1) and while some reviews stated that it was too small, we didn’t find that at all. it was comfortable and well-appointed. The staff was exceptional also. This was one of our favorite places to stay in Spain.
The room was cosy and clean. Even though we live in Spain for years already, here we had the best ever toast for the breakfast. The meat slices were cut by the hotel staff from the bone directly before us, so as fresh as it can be. We had a great time.
The hotel is in an excellent position in the city center, overlooking a beautiful park and the cathedral.
The hotel staff is friendly and helpful in every situation.
The food in the hotel restaurant is the best thing we ate in Granada!
We recommend!
the front office super helpful with all the information about area surrounding and even with our need for laundry service. this was my favorite place to stay for my 2 weeks vacation Spain Portugal. I hope every property can be this nice and helpful
I did have a very nice stay in this boutique hotel in Granada: simple-designed but well-functional room is very clean, cosy and comfortable. The location of the hotel is perfect!!! I will for sure come back! highly recommend!
This hotel is on a quiet street in the heart of Granada’s historic Albaicin neighborhood. The staff at the front desk were really helpful and booked the best Flamenco experience for us.
The owner was so warm and friendly and justifiably proud of his life's work in this hotel. I was stunned at the beauty of it and feel this stay was the highlight of my trip to Spain
beautifully reformed Manor House - with a gorgeous internal patio. The breakfast was one of the best we have had in a boutique hotel. The French Toast was to die for…
