This small hotel is Cosy and clean. It's in the best location of the city, easy to get around by local taxis. Amazing restaurants around too. It's not far away from the Medina, which is amazing! The best part was the food. I give that 5 star! Moroccan breakfast, large portions with great selections. One more thing, we booked and went in to check in immediately, they were so accommodating they let us check in earlier!

This is a fabulous Riad in Meknes. Stunningly beautiful behind a huge wooden door. Amazing terrace views, where we ate a delicious breakfast. Being a Riad location is spot on.

Don't believe the online videos or guidebooks that say that the whole of Meknes is a building site! While there is a lot of renovation going on, there are still marvelous things to see and do. The medina is very interesting and comes with very little hassling. Its worth taking a day trip - or longer - to the mid Atlas mountains.

I didn't enjoy Meknès itself that much but I would certainly recommend visiting the partially restored Roman city ruins of Volubilis. It's about a 45 mins drive up the mountains. Keep your speed limited to 60 km/h though as there are a lot of police speed traps! It costs 70 dh to enter the grounds and around 200 dh to get a guide to show you around (mine spoke excellent English).

We only stayed 1 night to see Volubulis.
We only stayed 1 night to see Volubulis. We should have stayed longer. The vendors had quality merchandise and prices were by far better than Fes and Marrakech. Our hosts were very hospitable. The room was comfortable and beautiful. This town is the real heart of Morocco.

Many attractions are covered up, undergoing constructions.
Many attractions are covered up, undergoing constructions. Not much to do here for 3;days.
Medina: alleys are dusty, lots of cats poop along the way. Cats roaming these alleys look dirty and sickly.
Better Options: Stay in Fes and just travel to Meknes for a day to see some attractions. Train ride to Meknes is only 28 dirhams one way. Option 2 - stay in a riad in Meknes for 1 day.

Relatively relaxed and hassle free.
Relatively relaxed and hassle free. A lot of renovation is going on (September 2023) so some monuments and museums are closed. The Jamai museum is excellent. Nearby Volubilis is also well worth a visit. Fez is roughly an hour away by car/bus/train so an easy day trip.

Meknes is going thorough significant change and refurbishment - especially the medina and square. The souk are no longer traditional - they are markets catering to local people. The city clearly has some fantastic history and the Riad we stayed in was part of that but I didn’t see enough attraction for more than a very short visit. If you are visited Volobulis, I would recommend staying in Moulay Iddriss instead.
Of the Dars we stayed in for our week-long trip to Morocco, this one was our favorite. We were greeted with mint tea and cookies upon arrival. A great touch! The combination of a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the atrium made it stand out. We especially enjoyed mint tea on the terrace after an afternoon of touring the Medina. If only they had beer! Great view of the Medina up there. We also had breakfast on the terrace. Great start to the day!
Really enjoyed our stay here! It's a beautiful riad in a great location, from which you can easily explore Meknes, or get yourself lost in the streets of Medina. The couple running the riad is absolutely lovely and very helpful, they gave us good tips on the trip and generally we enjoyed talking to them learning about Meknes and Morocco. Can definitely recommend the stay here.
We spend only one night in this Riad, but we wished we stayed longer. It was one of the best Riad experiences we had in 2 weeks of morocco. The hospitality, cleanliness and food were unmatched. We felt like at home with Rhizlenne as host. We enjoyed the conversations and the chill atmosphere. I 100% would recommend this Riad to everyone.
My stay at this hotel was exceptional, thanks to its artistic charm and prime location in the heart of Meknes old souq. The staff, especially Khaoula at the reception, was incredibly welcoming and helpful, offering personalized recommendations that greatly enhanced our visit.
The hotel is not the newest, but our room was well kept and very very clean (not really common in Morocco). The room was also very large.
Being out of the medina, the location was really easy to find and it was located close to the train station and the area is well served.
This riad was probably the most cozy we've been in Morocco. Meknes is a very nice city and the location near the door of the medina was excelent. The owner was absolutely kind and friendly and her wife is probably best cook in Maroc! You souldn't miss her couscous!
The riad is beautiful and ideally located to see all the sights in Meknes. Our room was spacious. There was a space heater which proved much useful during the cold weather. Breakfast was good. The rooftop terrace looked like it would be amazing in the summer.
Having breakfast at the rooftop with freshly made Moroccan bread and orange juice was lovely. The room was quite although very central in the medina. The staff was the most friendly, helpful yet professional that we met during our stay in Morocco.
Our host was chatty and very kind. He was eager to help. The rooms are gorgeous and the tiles were very clean. They also did my laundry which was very helpful. We wished very much that we had allocated another day or two in Meknes.
A wonderful place to stay in Meknes. The receptionist, Muhammad was very friendly and helpful and was always around to ensure my stay was smooth and comfortable. The room I was staying in was very clean and comfortable.
The owners are friendly and very helpful- a great place to stay while visiting Meknes and Volubilis
Great communications and were very kind in conversing when I spoke my marginal French 😀
The room and the building were beautiful and comfortable. Amazing terraces. Great breakfast. Great location. Most of all, super nice staff. My favorite 'hotel' in 2 years of travelling.
I liked the balcony facing the pool area. The location of the hotel was good for me as it was the closest to Aqualand Meknes. The pool is also good. Lastly, house keeping is efficient.
This was the largest room I have stayed in as a solo traveller in Morocco.
The building itself was large, and the lobby and rooftop terrace were also spacious.
