History and Beauty Combined

Poland’s jewel and its most popular tourist destination, Kraków, features many medieval, Renaissance and Baroque architectural examples. Its entire Old Town is a World Heritage Site and the rest of the city has even more to offer.

The beautiful Royal Coronation Route, traversed in the past by the Kings of Poland, allows you to see the stunning Cloth Hall, standing proudly at the Main Market Square, the 15th-century Barbican, and St. Mary’s Basilica with the world’s largest Gothic altarpiece and the amazing Wawel Castle.

The picturesque streets of the Kazimierz district have Jewish-themed restaurants, bookstores and small shops. Stylish cafés can be found all over the city and trendy restaurants serve delicious polish cuisine. Upscale bars and exciting clubs are the centre of Krakow’s vibrant nightlife.

If you want to get away for a day, make sure you see the stunning Wieliczka Salt Mine, built in the 13th century and featuring an entire altar carved out of rock salt! Or breathe some fresh air in Poland’s highest mountains, the Tatras, just a short drive from Kraków.

Krakow's Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers a wide range of activities. You can visit there St. Mary's Basilica, The Cloth Hall, St. Florian's Church. Not far fom the square is Czartoryski Museum . This is much more than an art gallery. It is a history museum with fine exhibits. The museum itself is a fantastic building. Da Vinci's masterpiece The Lady with Ermine is displayed here, also Rembrandt painting. Other sightseeing is Wawel Castle - fascinating with some unique features. Jan Matejko Museum is worth visiting. Kazmierz The Former Jewish District - a great place for street food, a lot of bars and restaurants. I also recommend Jagiellonian University.

Lovely city but very busy. Also, 2coffee and 2 cokes for 110zl are way too much (at the bottom corner of the sukiennice.) Good to check prices before you ask for a table cos each one has a different price.

A beautiful city with so much history.

A beautiful city with so much history. The people are very friendly. Food was different to what we would normally eat but very tasty. The history was what drew us there. It was not a disappointment. The guided tour of auschwitz was very informative if not quick due to the amount of people visiting. Eating in the town square although could be expensive had an amazing atmosphere. Exploring the Jewish quarters was also an interesting experience, lots of nice places to stop and have a drink and take in the atmosphere. We walked the town but the golf buggies seemed to be a popular way to see the sights. We caught an Uber from the airport which was much cheaper than a taxi but a bit more than the train. We found little market near the town square hidden away with lots of local delicacies and atmosphere off the street of rynek kleparski

We had a wonderful visit to Krakow, surpassing our expectations. We stayed close to the Old Town. It was beautiful, vibrant, clean; with so much history and historical buildings all around. The weather was iffy the day we'd hoped to go to Zakopane, but we would definitely have rescheduled if we'd been staying longer. We loved the walking tours in the Old Town and in Kazimiercz. The visit to the Salt Mine in Wieliczka was spectacular. Public transportation was 1st class.

Kraków is a gem of a city.

Kraków is a gem of a city. My favorite place to visit and a place I have visited many times over the past 17 years. In fact, I lived and taught there for an entire year, 2015 to 2016. With every visit, the city seems to shine even more, offering a feel of a home away from home. There is so much to explore and see in the old town and beyond, parks, museums, street life, diverse cuisine, culture, concerts and more.

Very clean, modern, bright. exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. good wifi, very substantial breakfast. Location just near old town is fantastic, with enormous shopping centre across the square. hotel is conveniently next to the main train station, but there is no noise inside the rooms - amazing. Easy to arrive here from airport, by train or taxi. We also organised tours through the hotel and can highly recommend their suggestions for an all-day tour to Auschwitz as well as the 1.5 hour tour of Krakow by electric golf cart.

We had a wonderful one-night stay in Krakow. Magdalena was very friendly and provided a very personal experience. One thing to know tho, there is no one at the front desk once you are checked in. But she is reachable via WhatsApp. The room was compact but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was provided with eggs, ham & cheese, bread, fruit, yogurt, and coffee/tea/juice. Street parking is free on weekends and overnight. The meter starts at 10 am on Monday. The hotel location was great as it was a short walk to the old town.

The Hotel Pollera is ideally located close to both the old town centre and the train station. I had a lovely room overlooking the Juliusz Slowacki Theatre. All the rooms have double windows so no matter what is going on outside, you won't hear anything but having a street view room is great to feel the hustle and bustle of the city. This is the ideal location for exploring Krakow and the staff will help you with advice, recommendations and whatever you need.

The hotel is in an excellent location being only approximately 200 meters from the centre of the old town. The hotel was clean and modern and the pictures on the booking.com site don't do the hotel justice. Although breakfast was not served, the hotel was managed by starbucks and next door to the hotel is a starbucks coffee shop where you can get breakfast. The hotel was very affordable and i would certainly stay here again of i was visiting Krakow.

Very friendly, informative staff. Hotel Leonardo was just a few minutes walk from Rynek Glowney, the main square in the centre of Krakow. There is plenty of choice in the breakfast. We didn't eat any other meals here but the menu looked very nice. They had a great little offer; that if you didn't need your room cleaned every day, you would get a free glass of wine. A great bonus to have at the end of a long day of sightseeing

Amazing location. Only 6 min walk from the old town. Incredibly clean facility. You couldn't find anything bad at the room. The room was large and the bed was queen size. Great staff, really helpful. The breakfast buffet wasn't very big but was more than enough! Extra tip: If you have a car, ask to reserve a parking spot. It may seem expensive but it was the cheapest among all the parking spots around Krakow old town.

Great location, super close to the main square in the old Town, yet in a silent street. Breakfast was ok; since it is an aparthotel, they didn't have a buffet; instead they would bring a nice assortment of food for breakfast, that could be chosen amongst 4 different options. Best thing was how spacious was the apartment, with nice furniture and bed, for a good price.
