I loved the character of the building, it was more interesting than a standard new hotel. Knowing the vintage of the building, it was easy to forgive the lack of more modern amenities. We will stay again!

The studio was very clean, everything we needed was there - kitchen with all the equipment, super clean and good shower, and also a very comfortable mattress.
Guelph is super-duper rad! Great food, great shopping, great people. Hiking is also a plus - the Guelph Lake Conservation Area was beautiful. Everywhere we went was fully staffed with helpful enthusiastic people.

Guelph is a mid-sized city, with every amenity you could need. Local College, and a Tim Horton's everywhere. Truthfully, I stay there as it is the closest place to find a room when the Fergus Highland Games happen in early August. Usually don't have a chance to do much but what I have seen of the city definitely makes me want to spend more time exploring in the future. Lots of nature trails, hiking and biking seem to exist there.

Like the fact that they do have a lot of openness but buses don't have presto and that the buses cost $3.00 and you only get a transfer for 1 hour where as in other cities you can get a transfer that lasts anywhere from 1.5 - 2 hours

No hot breakfast included despite restaurants in ontario being at full capacity for covid. Why are you still handing out a bagged breakfast containing a dried up rubber egg sandwich and 1 protein bar with no drink. Shameful

Guelph is a University city.
Guelph is a University city. A large percentage of young people in the streets make it very vivid. You can tell it is a place to live here rather than to commute to Toronto. We enjoyed the University Arboretum. In the two evenings we stayed in Guelph, we visited two different Greek restaurants and were happy with the meals and service. Elora Gorge conservation area is about a 20-minute drive away. We did not visit it this time, but maybe next time.

Myself and a friend rode our bicycles from Goderich to Guelph along the G2G Rail Trail. We stayed one night, the rode the rail trail back to Goderich the next day. Guelph seemed like a bicycle friendly city with a multi-use off road paved trail along both sides of the road where our hotel was. Access to the G2G Rail Trail was easy.
The Hotel is an old colonial house but very well preserved. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and make you feel right at home. The staff spared no expense to make our stay as comfortable as possible, the breakfast is amazing, with a good selection of options. The garden outside is beautiful and the hotel has multiple parking spots. We like the expectation of the owner for the guests to take off their shoes at the entrance to preserve the quiet ambience and also preserve the house.
The unit is beautiful & simple and very clean. The condo building is quiet, newer and obviously well maintained. Messages with the owner involved quick responses and detailed replies, and they were amazing at helping us to get the room ready for our requested early check-in. I would love to have stayed longer to be able to enjoy the room amenities & that area of Guelph more --- hopefully next time!
The hotel is conveniently located near the University of Guelph, which is our main purpose of travel. The hotel offers a sense of antique, but its facilities are in good condition. Hotel staffs are very helpful when we need to store our luggage and also to use microwave.
I like the pool being located by the elevator so you don’t have to walk through the hotel.
I like that there were attendants at the pool and taking samples
I like the hot breakfast in the morning
I like my clean and spacious room
Location was easy to find, $75.00 just in case charge was a surprise. refunded upon checkout. Bed was indescribably horrible, eco light system shut bedside lamps off. called front desk, who offered to move us at 10:40 pm.
Really nice rooms. Big and lots of space, super luxurious for one person in a room for sure. Nice and clean. The hotel was quiet with plenty of parking. The hotel staff was super nice and helped us with any issues.
Our queen room was well equipped with a couch, desk, tv, fridge and microwave. The bathroom was small, but adequate. The room was what you would expect from a Comfort Inn, but with the price of a nicer hotel.
Could use a major facelift to make it a quaint hotel to match its timeless exterior. Taps were old etc. also needs to be marketed better to the business traveller
