Oswego Hotel, hotel in Victoria

The Oswego Hotel is located on a quiet street a few minutes walk from Victoria’s parliament buildings and historic harbour.

This was a once in a lifetime stay for me. I sent a request that , if possible, could I PLEASE have a room with amazing views! I arrived 3 hrs earlier than I'd estimated, well before check in. The Guest attendant suggested that she tag my backpack, put it in the back and that she would go put my food (I had a kitchenette!)in the room's fridge during the cleaning. That freed me to go explore. The location is excellent, short walk to the Breakwater or a lil longer walk to the Legislative bldg, in either direction. Lovely treed neighbourhood. Bus stops easily available to the Harbour/Downtown. When I returned the staff had changed shift and so regrettably I missed the person who helped me earlier: I wanted to give her a tip The lobby has a cute lil lounge that had live music that was filling up with guests! FUN. My suite was Fabulous! The floors were sooo clean that they looked like rocks in a clear stream lol. The view...I couldn't have asked for a better view! I'm grateful for that. The ability to open the sliding glass doors really made it for me. I cooked my own breakfast and made snacks for my long ride back to YVR. The robes are super soft! I felt safe and comfortable, slept well. I absolutely recommend The Oswego Hotel!

Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites, hotel in Victoria

Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites has rooms with a refrigerator and free WiFi. A cable TV is offered in each room at Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites. An electric kettle and a work desk are also...

Vista 18 A la Carte breakfast. Early check-in. In downtown so walking to landmarks and interests. All I need is to park the car in the hotel and walk to places. No need to search for street parking with a parking time limit, risking tickets, decreasing mental load. The facility is maintained well. The swimming pool and jacuzzi appear to be clean. Appreciating that there was a Chromecast to connect to my phone. I can buy takeouts and consume them back in the room. Toaster and microwave available for quick breakfast and food reheat. Sink and dish soap provided as well. The stay was self-sufficient.

The Fisherman's Wharf was interesting with the nicely decorated houses people live in and the lovely hot donuts we ate there. We enjoyed walking around the downtown, having lunch at the Irish Times, walking through the Empress Hotel, and taking a water taxi to Milestones for our dinner. I wish that I could have visited longer and see Emily Carr's house but it was closed at the time. Victoria is a lovely city and James Bay Village is quaint and my favourite place to walk.

Beautiful city with many places within walking distance. Don't miss Butchart Gardesn, Fisherman's warf and the parliament building at night. we had two dogs so meals at fishermans warf were the best and most accomodating. Our stay was too short but it gave us enough ideas for a longer return trip. totally worth it!

Would be helpful if there was a bus on Bellville st.

Would be helpful if there was a bus on Bellville st. As it’s a long walk for a handicap person to walk up to Douglas st. Over all felling Victoria needs to do more to make the city more handicap accessible. Many businesses have stairs that are very restricted.

Victoria is a great city to visit for a walking visit.

Victoria is a great city to visit for a walking visit. Don't bother with a car - parking is expensive or non-existent. Skip the tourist shops on Government Street (except Murchies Teas). Beacon Hill Park is nice especially in spring or summer. The walk around the waterfront presents some interesting views. The Royal British Columbia Museum is a great place to learn about the history of western Canada. Overall, a nice, comfortable place to visit with slight British flavor.

This hotel is in a great location for exploring Victoria by foot. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable. We enjoyed having a small kitchen where we made breakfast and had snacks. On a Thursday night we had a drink in the restaurant and really enjoyed a performance by Dylan on guitar. Great songs and a good voice. All and all it was a good stay and we will definitely book this hotel again. Unfortunately it is often full and hard to get a reservation.

We were welcomed as if we were the most important guests ever to check in. Quiet location yet so close to downtown and the Mayfair Mall. The young man at the desk ( Eric? - I am sorry not sure) was so polite and helpful. Your restaurant was closed for renovations ( not mentioned on your web site) and we had invited friends to join us for breakfast. Hie recommendation was superb. Easy to check-in and park. It's a very basic hotel (just a bedroom, no other amenities), so what you get is a comfortable place to sleep in a very good location in downtown Victoria. Lots of nearby restaurants. We liked nearby Frank's Honeybun Cafe on Yates for a casual breakfast.
