The location is amazing, in the middle of a mountain, you have the feeling to be really in nature! Wonderful view to the seaside and the mountain. A magical place, it is a bit difficult to arrive to the top, but when you make it, it is amazing.

Cheap and relatively near a very quiet beach. Has Aircon and a card machine. The guy working at reception is really nice and helpful and ordered us dinner from a takeout place and coordinated payment when they closed the kitchen ridiculously early.

Beautiful and relaxing. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious with quite an extensive menu. Loved having tea and coffee available all day.
Air con great and very welcomed. Massage on the beach is a must - the quality for 120k pesos was excellent.

I had terrible neck pain after that. the menu was limited, and one day we ordered some ribs, which were awful; we almost had to beg for us to cancel that order since we tried two ribs out of six, just to make sure I wasn't crazy. But then, my family agreed eating was dangerous. It's an average hotel. Nothing special for the money we paid. We had a group of 5 and we all agreed that it was one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. The proximity to the beach is A+, the tents themselves are extremely luxurious, exceptionally clean and such a novelty. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, guiding us to some wonderful places which really made our trip. And the bar at the place was super cute too. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a summer getaway.

We paid the same price for a double room with an en suite for 2 people as one night in a 23 bed dorm for one person in El Rio. Feels like a hotel/ guesthouse and is super clean and comfy. Can either get a Moto taxi to el Rio in 4 mins or it's about a 25 min walk. We still spend the days and evening in El Rio for free and came back here to sleep. Totally recommend and don't worry, Moto taxis are still available all night. Room had Aircon and a TV

Large secluded beach for long walks. Good food. Nice bar. Lovely place for couples, families or friends. About an hour walk on the beach (passing several hotels and hostels) to the mouth of Buritaca river where lots of restaurants and bars can be found. About 20 mins walk to the main road where buses between Santa Marta and La Guajira pass. About 10 min moto taxi ride from the center of Buritaca.

Puppies, cats and cacao. 😍 The owner, Polo is super simpático, motivated and caring. He invited us on a tour of the finca and we learned all about the art of making chocolate. And sampling choc too. We left with BIG SMILES, in tranquility and plans to return soon for more adventures.
