We had a lovely stay in this hotel. The property is stunning and we especially enjoyed the beautiful outdoor terrace overlooking nearby churches and rooftops. The reception staff were fantastic and extremely helpful. Breakfast was rich and varied too, especially the pastries section. Location is also unbeatable in the very heart of the city, just round the corner from the main plaza.

Beautifully renovated Colonial house, excellent location just off the central plaza but on a quieter street. Very comfortable, delicious breakfast. Views of cathedral from our room with a patio. Panoramic views from roof top bar and restaurant. We got a great deal on the room. Best stay of our 1 month Bolivian trip.

We loved Sucre. It retains an excellently restored and preserved Spanish colonial town center with its churches and monasteries. Everything within walking distance (at least for us); we never required car transport. The museum of the liberation period, the Casa de la Liberdade, was very interesting. The cathedral is magnificent and well maintained. English tours existed in all the museums we visited but there were very few time slots available so we made do with our reasonable Spanish skills.

This is perhaps the fifth time that I have visited Sucre with my partner. This time was for family reasons and not tourism. However, as always, Sucre - The White City - does not disappoint. We managed to go and see the indigenous show 'Origins' and combine the experience with dinner. This 'ethnic' history of Sucre was most enjoyable and I can thoroughly recommend it to all ages.

Sucre is capital of Bolivia but suddenly is very calm place.
Sucre is capital of Bolivia but suddenly is very calm place.
People are nice and streets (except market area) are not crowded.
City is quite small and centre has perfect construction. Need 10 minutes by walking to reach all interesting places.
But most important is the history of that place...
Worth to visit!

We were in Sucre for 4 days, it was lovely to have enough time to stop and watch the markets and see the town in its routine. Recommend hoping on a local bus for its route to see some of the back streets and hop off when something takes your fancy. Buses and Taxi's everywhere so you're never lost. Wonderful to see Indigenous tribes living here in Sucre, and their wonderful clothes and colours.
Recommend taking the bus out "of town" to Mercado Campesino for a another view into the day to day of Sucre.

The Museums are very beautiful and will and interesting history each one, I need more time to looked all. My time was very short.
The weather also was very nice as spring time, very clean nice architectonic colonial houses.
- we loved the rooftop, exceptional views of the city
- everything we wanted to do was walking distance; we were able to do things in the morning, return to the hotel during lunch when lots of things closed and go out again in the afternoon, very comfortable comunal areas too!
- the staff were very accommodating and kind (especially after I got a little mixed up with our buses, they bent over backwards to accommodate us).
- great breakfast
- comfortable room
- reasonable price!
I loved my stay at Hotel San Felipe. I did my usual online research before booking the hotel and it did not disappoint. The room was wonderful, the common areas were beautiful (my favorite was the rooftop terrace), the location was amazing, the breakfast was lovely. and the entire staff were perfection. (Special thanks to Leslye and Maria Fernanda.) Sucre bewitched me -- I hope to return soon and, of course, stay at the Hotel San Felipe! PS. Wifi was reliable and fast!
The staff was excellent, willing to help and provide information. I met the owner, and he was a fine gentleman who guided me to see the best highlights of the city.
Susana, and Moises were fantastic! The room was very comfy and spacious. The restaurant on site was very convenient. The location was perfect! Walking distance to main attractions in the city. They have a terrace with a beautiful view of Sucre on the rooftop.
After searching hotels all over Sucre in this price range, this was the only hotel with a bathroom that was modern. Very happy with it.
Hotels usually only offer eggs as their hot food but this hotel gave me bacon also, which impressed me.
Very happy with the room, bathroom, breakfast and location (only a 2 minute walk from the Plaza).
The room featured a fridge, kettle, coffee, tea, sugar etc.
Beautiful house 5-10 minutes walk to the centre of Sucre. Well furnished and comfy beds. Loved all the plants, drinking water, and very well equipped kitchen all for a great price; we would have been happy to pay a lot more here. Also great hospitality as we arrived really early in the morning (earlier than expected) and were allowed to sleep in another room free of charge- thanks!
A really nice place to stay in downtown Sucre. The facilities are modern, with a small kitchen well equipped, great wi-fi with access to Netflix and other apps on the living room TV. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable, better than mine in the US! The door from the street has an electric lock, so it is very secure as well
The hotel was little gem lovingly decorated in Spanish colonial style. It has a pleasant rooftop sitting area for drinks in the evening. Great location, within easy walking distance of the major attractions of Sucre. The desk staff member was extremely helpful and organized our travel to our next destination in Bolivia, Potosi.
This stay totally exceeded our expectations. The entire staff were extremely accommodating throughout our stay. The property itself is gorgeous, the rooms spacious and very comfortable. While we enjoyed Sucre, we extended our stay simply to hangout on the relaxing property grounds for another night. Would seriously recommend!!
We ended up staying in Villa Oropeza for 2 weeks whilst we did spanish lessons in sucre. It was the perfect set up. It was always very clean. The garden is great for cheap relaxing days in the sun, the 2 kitchens have good facilties, good location to the plaza, staff were always very helpful. Would 100% stay here again.
The location felt safe and very convenient. The hotel is in a beautiful area. All staff were welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful - reception, breakfast servers, owner and rooftop staff. The building itself, and curation, is amazing. The museum downstairs is a great extra. Rooftop bar was another great addition!
The owner is really helpful and friendly. She helps you with everything!
The apartment was amazing, the best apartment in my whole time of traveling. I felt me absolut safe and comfortable. It has a perfect location. Everything was perfect, thank you!
The location is really great, you’re 5 min away from everything Sucre has to offer. The host is really nice and helpful. It’s really worth the price, especially because it’s cheaper than things that are further away !
Nice sized bathroom with terrific shower. Beds are comfortable. WiFi work excellent. Hotel entrance is secure. It's near all the attractions for the historical area of Sucre. Many restaurants nearby. Nice fridge
Such a beautiful hotel (it says hostal, but it's a hotel), in the best, most walkable part of Sucre. Fantastic and friendly staff. Breakfast was nice. Would absolutely stay again!
The hostal a nice place to stay. Their staff polite and accommodating. Safe neighborhood to walk around at any time. I’d highly recommend it if you are visiting Sucre.
