Kavala is a great Aegean port town, not too little, not too big. It offers an amazing value for travelers since it has great bars, cafes and restaurants at a very reasonable price. It has something for everyone, history, culture, shopping, cuisine. There are some luxury places and some cheap (yet very good) places. In the summer also offers easily accessible beaches.

A great city!
A great city! The old town is beautiful and the views of the city are amazing! The center is easily walkable and the shops combine both big chains as well as small local shops, so everyone can find what they are looking for. There are a myriad of options for coffee or food. We had the best fish in Kavala!
Lastly, the beaches were by far the best in Northern Greece, with fine sand and crystal clear waters! All in all, it is definitely worth a visit!

Though we didn't stay long we really enjoyed our time there. We enjoyed the stroll from the Port to Vrahakia and visited the Acropolis with a great view of the city - worth the hike to get up there!

Great historic sites, beaches and Greek restaurants with authentic food and local wine options. The city is busy and parking can be an issue but if you are happy to walk and sightsee and immerse yourself in the culture, it is a fantastic spot!

A beautiful city with picturesque town planning.
A beautiful city with picturesque town planning. An interesting piece of history. Variety of shops, delicious food, fresh seafood. Fresh fruits and vegetables. Every Saturday there is a large market in the city with agricultural products of producers from the region.
Parking problems. Not enough parking spaces. There are only three paid parking lots in the central part. One of them is by the port, which is quite far from the city center.
We had had a great time in PomeGranate Suites!
The apartment is of 2 levels and the roof is really high. So you have plenty of space. I'd say this place has his own vibe and soul. It is even better than you can see on the photos.
The apartment is well equipped: you have hairdryer, iron, dishes, kettle, coffee machine and even waffle-iron, modern TV, towels etc.
The host was very friendly and met us ~ 11 p.m. as we arrived late.
Definitely recommend this cozy and warm place to stay in Kavala!
Location is perfect!
The host is very kind and helpful.
He can guide you for the perfect local experience,so you can feel the spirit of Greece!
Owns a small coffee shop 2mins walk away.
I use to have my variety of coffee every morning with some locals that we had that special conversations.
Also Pavlos(the host) knows all the spots for the best taverns. There you can really experience the simplicity of the local taste.
I can keep going this way all day long.
The place was comfortable for 2 adults and 2 kids. Just around the corner is a bus station towards center and also a mini market; down the street you can find the best gyros in Kavala and also a good type of Retsina. The location is very close to the beach, cca 7 min on foot. The building was very quiet. We also had a covered parking place, so the car was not heated. The host was very welcoming and helpfull! We are happy we could reserved Nikos apartment!
We started and ended our trip to Greece in Sea Breeze and we were so happy to stay a second time. Our host’s motto is ‘Come as a guest & leave as a friend’ is a reality with Makis. He is a wonderful model of Greek hospitality. The apartment has everything needed for a comfortable long or short term stay. Nicely decorated and very clean. Plenty of room for a family with kids and a full kitchen to prepare meals. We highly recommend this apartment!
Great location in Kavala's old city - you can walk everywhere. We maybe got lucky, but we easily found a street parking spot. Self-check-in and check-out were a breeze. The building interior and the apartment have a striking design that stands out and feels special. The view over the port was nice - definitely recommended. Very comfortable bed as well. It's a beautiful place with a surprisingly special ambiance.
Everything was beyond our expectations!
House looks better in reality, and all the little things that made us feel really welcome, you can't see that in the puctures
And best host's we have ever had pleasure to meet <3
Recommendation is to explore as much of Kavala region as you can (beaches, archeological sites, nature, taverns...just listen to Christos, and enjoy)
Superb location and the style of the hotel is unique. Both oriental and ancient mountain lodge. It is overlooking the port of Kavala.
Very good food. One menu but very refined
The staff is adorable and willing to assist in any circumstances
The spa is also unique. A real oriental ham mam with treatment in relation. Ladies adore it.
the apartment was magnificent! we had the most amazing time here! location could not be any more central to tons of restaurants and shops! taxi stand was directly across the street so truly the best experience! John was an amazing host from beginning to end ! I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Kavala
I loved being able to have the pool at the Hotel, no sand for a change.😊 The Staff were very accomadating as I had booked a room without a balcony, back to reception 5 mins later we had a Balcony and a City View. The breakfast was lovely and had slight changes each morning.Highly recommend to stay at Lucy Hotel, Kavala
The rooms are very comfortable and clean
You have everything in the room from kettle to fork, from pan to coffee machine
Welcoming with cookies (local, delicious Kavala kurabiye) and a bottle of wine in the room as complimentary was very warm and kind
Staff was very helpful and kind all the time
The apartment is very comfortable, it is located in a good neighbor and the most popular street in the center of the city, the owner was really nice and helpful with the information about the city , I recommend for the people that have in mind the plan to visit this beautiful city in Greece
Our host was very kind and helpful, she made us feel welcomed and at ease, the apartment is great and spacious, it had everything we needed for our stay! The view from the terrace is top notch.
We would love to visit Kavala again and we'll make sure to book this property.
The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. I would definitely come back!
Very clean, very comfortable,well-organised with evereything you need. Just perfect, like Greece 🇬🇷
I had a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this business to others.🥰
Small renovated apartment in the concrete block - one of million in Kavala. Close to the city center, even limited sea view. Very steep streets - free on-street parking, but limited places and some driving skills needed. Better forget with big car.
We stayed in a family room, it was very large, nicely furnished, clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel has a parking place which is a huge advantage. The breakfast baskets were delicious and more than enough.
We got an unexpected free room upgrade to junior suite! All personnel were very kind and had provided us support we needed in every aspect.
Hotel has two semi-private beaches and a small semi-wild one. Exceptional breakfast :-)
The staff was super friendly and helpful. They really make sure your stay is worthy. The facilities were outstanding. This might be one of the best hotels in Kavala.
