Wonderful city, excellent continental cuisine, many "chardas" to choose from. European avenue a "must walk" for the unique city experience, I also recommend the visit to the Tvrđa. Osijek is extremely walkable, very charming.

I like very much the architecture of the older parts of the city.I love walking near the river in the mornings or during the night. There is beautiful sand beach on the other side of river, where you can have nice swim in the river or in the pools. You can have perfect Osječko beer in a lot of bars in city center. There are very good restaurants in the city and in a closer range outside the city. You must see cathedral which is by me the nicest church in Croatia. But the best of Osijek is the warm and generous people of Osijek who will make you remember your stay for the rest of your life.

Small, cosy, neat town.
Small, cosy, neat town. There is nothing impressive to see, but it is a very nice town to be in, and many options for visitors in the surroundings around. The people are friendly, the place is secure, the food is excellent as everywhere in Voivodina after all, and one can have long walks, visit the old city, and nearby destinations as Coparcki Rit, or Pamuk.

Osijek is a little hidden gem.
Osijek is a little hidden gem. This was my first visit but I'd be happy to return. Fantastic seccession architecture in the town centre, a lovely old town in the "Fortress/Citadel" area (with cafes, bars etc) and on the other side of the bridge I found some great restaurants (with special mention to "Csingi Lingi Csarda") and vineyards. A very enjoyable few days in Osijek.

Osijek is a hidden gem in Croatia.
Osijek is a hidden gem in Croatia. The town may seem empty at first but the locals seem to follow their own schedule and know exactly where to be at the right time.
There are two centres: the main centre, and the "tvrda" (fortress town). Both are filled with excellent pubs and night clubs.
If per chance you are into the techno / industrial scene, we happened to book our place next to "Voodoo". Not my scene but perfect for alternative / metal types.
Note: the best restaurants in Osijek are not in Osijek but in Baranje, just north of the river.
The location is absolutely perfect. We’re traveling as a family of 4 (me, my husband, 2 year old and 4 month old). The owner was quick to respond, greeted us and even helped carry my baby up in the car seat. The parking was free, there’s a zoo about 3 kilometers away and 2 different parks in walking distance. It’s close to stores and easy to find. The bed was exactly what we needed after a long drive. We slept great and would absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking for a CLEAN, COMFORTABLE and SAFE place to stay.
The apartment is spacious, with lots of light and a view of the river Drava. It has two small balconies and a fully equipped kitchen (except for the dishwasher, but we didn't mind). The rooms are big enough, and the living room is comfortable. The location is great with lots of parking nearby (some free, some that you need to pay, but it's not expensive). Across the street is the 'Osijek Hotel' so if you have some event there like we did, this is perfect. I recommend this apartment.
The location for Osijek, perfect. Right on there main square. Private parking, a safe, secure hotel. The morning staff member, I think she might be the owner, Sandra, was beyond authentic fro her love of Croatia and making sure the guest, meal was taken care of. Breakfast, she brought out a few fruits, and honey to try. Pushed double espressos, never a bad thing. She cared. Even mapping out a small local trip I could take. The price was ridiculously good value.
We was looking for apartment like for last second - so it was amazing that I booked it and they wrote me in the minute. Then in 20 mins we were in the room :) amazing. Parking with no problem. Room was modern, clean, bathroom was beautiful. Quiet place. They also allowed me later checkout. I am sorry that we was only one night so we didn’t use the wellness room 😂 maybe in the future. I recommend apartment. :)
Firstly, the host and the amenities truly stand out. You'd be eager to return to this appartment if you find yourself back in Osijek. It's perfect for those travelling by car, as it offers reserved parking directly in front of the house. Located on a peaceful street, this setting ensures a tranquil stay with all the conveniences needed for a memorable visit.
Huge apartment with everything you may need. Even microwave and dishwasher. Host was extremely friendly and caring. We got a bottle of good wine, tea while checking in and a huge chunk of cake during checking out. All the heaters are modern and can.be fine tuned.
Place is in the walking distance of the center of osijek.
A very warm welcome awaits you by the Hotel central team and Sandra who went a long way to recommend places to eat and be merry in the region. Thank you for the nicer room too and for the packed lunch ! This is proper hospitality !
Free adjacent parking is very handy too. Would stay again...
Hvala !
The rooms are hosted by a welcoming father and son team, Josep and Ivan. Josep, the dad, makes sure nobody goes hungry. The quality of the coffee is matched by the Lisnic hospitality. It felt a little like home, but with your new Croatian uncle on standby to do your eggs...
Sobe Novi Grad is in a quiet location in the new part of Osijek (Novi Grad) with available free parking. The room was very clean and comfortable (fantastic bed!). When we arrived, we called the number on the door to check in. The staff were very welcoming and helpful too.
I love this hotel. The rooms are stylish, roomy, and comfortable. This particular room had a little balcony. And the rooftop area - pool, sauna, hot tub, sun chairs - is beautiful! The breakfast is delicious, and the staff is incredibly attentive.
Wonderful hotel in the center of old town!
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Osijek.
