Our room was quieter than expected for being right next to the airport. It was very clean. Breakfast and breakfast room were very nice. Beds were very comfy. Easy access to the airport was great as 2 in our party had flights out the next morning.

Free breakfast was the best I've had in my travels
Spokane has good and bad.
Food scene and walking the downtown are is good.
Parking is expensive and sucks. Cleanliness and safety downtown especially at night is a concern. The old lyrics, "The freaks come out at night." are appropriate.
Even Spokane is experiencing similar degredation as Portland, Seattle etc.
Why do these cities allow themselves to become so unsafe and dirty? all pretty much run by the libtards.

I only spent my time in Downtown which has nice restaurants and everything is within walking distance.
The best part is the beautiful natural park called "Riverfront Park" where the Spokane river is traversing; there are playgrounds for children, benches for relaxation, jogging trails, a pond with geese and ducks, a small Japanese garden and an open auditorium for performances. The garden with huge trees is magnificent. This park with the natural river in the middle of downtown is uniquely Spokane.

Spokane is a nice city.
Spokane is a nice city. There are a lot of restaurants downtown within walking distance or a short Uber ride. The river area is beautiful and a must-see. As with other cities, the unhoused population is growing, and can be somewhat aggressive, so travel in groups and be aware of your surroundings.

Spokane has some lovely areas to visit, especially Manito Park. There are some beautiful old homes in the Rockwood area. It is not, however, the place to look for boutique shopping. I definitely would recommend dining at one of the restaurants located adjacent to the Spokane Falls, for the view as well as the fine dining. You do not want to pass up the carousel. It is remarkable, with an interesting history.

Spokane has a lot going for it with the nearby mountains.
Spokane has a lot going for it with the nearby mountains. However, the trash and the homeless that seemed to be everywhere were a turnoff. We attended the "Pigout in the Park" event and there seemed to be way too much food. I guess that is what a pigout is meant to be. The music was good except you could hear the other bands performing at the same time, and it created a mixed sound rather than listening to only one band. Perhaps the park is too small for more bands to be able to play without competing sounds. There seemed to be too many commercial vendors that mass produce the same things at the event as well. I would prefer more original artwork myself, but I understand commercial vendors need to make money too. We drove around to quite a few places, and I didn't see any areas that didn't have a fair amount of trash. We stayed at a nice hotel with beautiful views of the mountains, but the streets getting to the hotel had rundown homes and homeless in plain view. We did eat at a cute bar, but it was a bit dark inside, and the potato salad had potatoes that didn't serm fully cooked in it. The sandwich, on the other hand, was delicious, and my friends drank beer and really liked their selection of draft beers. In summary, unforunately, Spokane is not a city I would care to ever visit again.

I was recently there for 3 days.
I was recently there for 3 days. It was a quick trip that I had only planned a few weeks before. I enjoyed the parks, trails, and the local breweries. I rented a bike and rode ~20 miles to the east to the Idaho border which was relatively easy to do. I took the Empire Build Amtrak train from Portland and had no issues. Also, pubic transportation for a city this size was pretty good.
We drove to Spokane for a broadway play. Best part was we could to theater from hotel.
A number of people were headed in that same direction so we felt safe. Nice to have dinning at the Hotel-great food at Spencer terrific service. Parking in garage was clean but wondered about security. Car was safe and sound in the am. It made us feel good that there is extra security downtown Spokane. Room was very clean, bed comfortable. We had everything we needed.
I am really mixed about this hotel but it´s more about staff than accommodation itself. On one side comfy hotel in the very centre of Spokane and a nice receptionist in the evening (good impression), on the other horrible morning staff next day. It surely could happen that something is broken (meaning only cold breakfast was available) but the attitude of the morning person was simply terrible...couldn´t care less.
A nicely renovated "Historic" property in the SW side of downtown Spokane. My room was comfortable and spacious looking out onto downtown. An easy stroll to any of the downtown attractions, with restaurants, breweries, and shopping close at hand. I was only in town for 1 night but the Montvale Hotel clicked all the boxes I was looking for. Highly recommended and I will stay again on my next trip to town.
The Centennial is just off downtown Spokane on the other side of Riverfront Park. The hotel is ENORMOUS and has a nice pool and, bonus, poolside rooms that open directly onto the pool deck. The rooms are huge, I think because the hotel was built in the early 1970s. Everything has been recently updated. The staff were wonderful throughout our stay.
I’m a tightwad senior who hates spending money. A trip east for my 70th birthday felt like time for a splurge. Traveled extensively thru my career as a wildland firefighter, never had experienced such a quality hotel. Worth the $$$.
Absolutely everything! I loved the hotel itself, the lovely staff, the beautiful room and decor, the breakfast and pumpkin treats on Thanksgiving! I would not stay anywhere else in Spokane and can't wait to come back next year!
The hotel is located in downtown Spokane just blocks away from movies, a mall and restaurants. The hotel is nearly 100 years old and has been fixed up while keeping its original elegance, beauty and charm.
Everything was as we appreciate when staying at a hotel.
It was quiet, clean, with lots of parking, and a variable well stocked breakfast.
We will return on our next tour through the Spokane area.
Fast check-in with a friendly front desk employee. Loved the secure parking garage. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and will definitely be our go to hotel when visiting Spokane.
This hotel is clean and comfortable. It is close to downtown and the Spokane Arena. I always stay here when I go to concerts at the arena because I can walk there.
Newer renovation of older hotel with many nice historic features. Room was new, clean, and nicely done. Within walking distance of all Spokane downtown venues.
