Good roads, easy to get around (no problems using gps maps) Saturday markets, fresh seafood, close to shopping centre. Our function was catered and the food was amazing. Short walk for evening swim at the beach.
Close to other townships eg: Katikati.

The CBD seems alright, can be explored on foot.
The CBD seems alright, can be explored on foot. The highlight of our trip was Mt Maunganui. The Mount Hotpools was wonderful (pricey though), beautiful tiles, water and view. And the stretch of the Maunganui beach was just beautiful. We picked one far away from the centre (and towards Papamoa) where there was lifeguard, and truly enjoyed the waves for hours. It a great place for families who love spending time in the open water.

It is a travel destination that I definitely want to visit at least once a year.
I would like to recommend that you climb Mount Manganui and take a hot spring bath in the salt springs.
I can't forget the size and taste of Copenhagen ice cream across from the salt springs.
Playing in the water or walking on the beach are healing points that cannot be missed.
Cost-effectiveness of accommodation is one of the most disappointing aspects of most travel destinations.

Beautiful looking place, great climate, but a lot of blatant racism. Lots of indigenous artwork around city was vandalised. A lot of scowls from people when speaking re reo Māori (even with basic greetings).

There are plenty of bars and places to eat, the city is pleasant enough although access to the harbour is limited and the whole place is overshadowed by its proximity to Mt Maunganui and its fabulous beaches.
Erika and Marco are a lovely couple and were so hospitable and helpful in planning our time in Tauranga. Erika’s attention to details is evident from the books, filtered water and a fully stocked bathroom. There is a table with two chairs in the front yard in the middle of the beautiful flower garden. We highly recommend Marco and Erika’s to anyone looking for a tranquil place to stay.
I came here with my dog to compete in the Tauranga dog show, the property has a gate that leads right into a park so I was able to toilet and walk my dog each morning and evening with total ease. The location was perfect for what I needed, with shops nearby. It was my first time in Tauranga and it was wonderful!
To answern i had to fill in false answers to give the actual. Our stay in tauranga ended up being very nice because we found d another hotel. This was due to the fact that we turned up and were told there were no rooms at all available and should have never been given the reservation by booking .Com.
We were very excited to be on the 8th floor for our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the complimentary snacks went down a treat with the kids. It was a very comfortable room and in a good location - we walked all around the bay and came back across the track right by the hotel.
Location was perfect for the concert in the domain which was the reason for our visit to Tauranga, and love that there was ample parking close to the entrance. Nice and close to the city centre when we needed to kill some time. VEry good alround and i would def stay there again.
Room was clean, beds made, room service attendants were thorough and kind. As a family with a child with special needs, the staff were understanding and accommodating. Very family friendly and comfortable. Will book again if we come through Tauranga again in the future.
Beautiful place and very friendly hosts..
Very close to Tauranga but yet away from all the noise.. enjoyed lovely breakfast and evening spa with sunset .. our 5 yr old would vanish for few minutes running behind birds but we wouldn't worry as it's very safe..
Great location, right in town and all day parking very close (free parking overnight). I liked the lack of plastic - no plastic bottles of cheap shampoo/conditioner, shower caps or tiny slithers of soap.
The location of the hotel is prefect. Nearby have lots different kind of restaurants. Staffs are very friendly and helpful too. Definitely will recommend to friends and will come back again.
Accommodation was clean and tidy. Siona was super friendly :). Location was also really handy to Tauranga Domain which was where our event was held for the weekend. Highly recommended!
The property is centrally located. Overlooking the waters in Tauranga. Nice restaurants nearby. I love the products for guests in the bathroom. Friendly staffs.
The property is very clean and stylish, we went on a girl's trip to Tauranga from Auckland and loved the interior and convenient location of this property.
