Want to go surfing in Morocco? You need to visit Taghazout Surf Village! A village on the coast of Morocco, not too far from Adagir. Taghazout is well-known for its surfing and its chilled-out hippy vibe but you don’t have to surf or be a pro surfer to enjoy Taghazout! I’m not and I loved it!

The wheather is ideal, and the beaches wonderful !
The vibe of Taghazout is just so peaceful, it's like the Mocorran Bali...
Also, we went on an adventure not far from there, to watch the sunset and surf on the sand dunes. It was just magical ! We also had the chance to make a campfire, the kids were so happy !
And last bu not least... you HAVE to taste the famous bananas ;)

This was a great warm place to visit In December.
This was a great warm place to visit In December. We were there only three nights, but found plenty to do especially trying out surfing with the dive school Snoopy who had a premises very close by up the road next to the Red cafe which was next to the Teapot cafe. We ate at the Teapot 2 or 3 times, it was excellent especially the chia and mango parfait, and avocado on soda bread. Lively town with loads of young laid back cool surfers and met only friendly people. We also enjoyed Windy Bay and World of Wave restaurants overlooking the main beach. The water was rough though but exciting to paddle in, and concerns for so many wild cats and dogs, and many gorgeous puppies roaming around. Also don’t expect clean beaches or well made roads and paths, but if you overlook that, you may find it as charming as we did.

A great place for surf and chill.
A great place for surf and chill.
Panorama is a good spot for beginners to intermediate and Anchor Point is where it happens if you're more advanced (and not scared of rocks and impose yourself in the line-up), there is also Banana Point and Devil's Rock down south within a 10 minutes taxi ride and Mysteries, Killer's Point and PK25 on the north to visit.
Taghazout itself got a bit touristic these last years (I mean you can now get Acaï bowl and there is a bunch of fancy coworking spaces to sleep and work) but it's still great to stay and there is a lot of option for food and activities. You'll also meet a lot of people from all around the world (mostly surfers obviously).
The sunset from the Skate park on top of the hill is also a must see and you can rent a skateboard in town.
If you want a more authentic atmosphere you can go to Imsouane which is a bit more remote, but Taghazout is still a very nice place to stay for a week or two.

Lovely hotel with great views overlooking the beach and ocean. Clean and spacious rooms, lovely pool and spa facilities that were not overly expensive.
Great selection of excellent food and they were even able to cater for my wheat intolerance (gluten free).
The staff were friendly, particularly the reception staff offering lots of information about local facilities and trips.
A very friendly and welcoming hotel on the beach in the heart of Taghazout. We had a beautiful view of the beach from the balcony outside our room, great for sunbathing and relaxing and watching the sunset. There's a chill area on the top floor where you can relax, drink coffee and meet up with friends and family. The people who run the hotel are friendly and helpful - we rented surf gear from the hotel and they organised a taxi to Agadir for us. I would highly recommend - we had such a lovely stay.
Abdel was very helpful and accommodating throughout our stay including many unexpected gestures of kindness and goodwill (sharing food, offering rides, etc.). The hostel was in a great location very close to the beach and restaurants, surfboards were available right from the hostel. Incredible views from the 2(!) chill terraces overlooking the bay. Nutritious, delicious cheap breakfast. This all made it easy to extended our stay! Thank you Abdel and Mustafa!
Taghazout life Hostel has the best rooftop we've seen in Morocco. Great for digital nomads: quiet, good wifi and an amazing view! The shared kitchen is well equipped. Super clean and quiet. We liked it so much that we extended our stay.
Moha organizes movie nights with popcorn, tea and cokies. For breakfast, besides the bread, omelet, tea and coffe, there was something different available everyday, pancakes with raisins, or cake, or msmen.
Onda Surf was the best hostel I've stayed at during my morocco trip. The room, shower and toilet were always clean and the rooftop area was great to relax. The staff was really friendly and totally uncomplicated. The surfing sessions are nice and cheap and Siham will help you with stowing the boards in the car. I can really recommend a stay at Onda Surf for everyone that wants a vacation in Taghazout with open people around you.
Location of the hotel and view from our room were excellent. We enjoyed being so close to the sea and being able to walk into the nearby village of Taghazout and towards Tamraght. We liked spending quiet time on the day beds by the adult pool (near block 5). We enjoyed the lunch and dinner; food quality was good and it was a fairly relaxed experience. Breakfast however was another matter (see below).
Nice spot the owner was very nice. Not the most social hostal here but sometimes that’s how it goes again , good spot ! Nice people ! Think I might have caught one of the workers on his down days and that’s ok ! We all have them and we can’t love everyone !! I would
Recommend ! Taghazout is great ! Lots of neighbor kittens around the place that I had a really nice time bringing them food 🤍
4 story property with lovely views of town & ocean. Rooftop terrace and yoga room. Simple accommodations with pleasant hosts. Good breakfast. The hotel matches the relaxed atmosphere of this beach town. Park your car above the hotel and walk down. Security guard (not associated with the hotel) sleeps in his van in the lot to watch the cars. Reasonable price. Would definitely stay again.
The location is great, just a few minutes walking
to the beach and restaurants. The dorm is spacious,
has good natural light and ventilation. Mariam,
the woman running the hostel, works so hard.
She was always checking on me, making me laugh.
There are also so many cute kittens in the hostel!
An amazing hostel right in the heart of Taghazout! I love the vibe and cleanliness. The staff are incredibly accommodating, friendly and fun. It is not difficult to make friends especially if you are a solo traveler. Kekai Surf House is your home and family in Taghazout, Morocco.
I recently stayed at a charming beachfront studio in Taghazout and was warmly welcomed by Rachid, the owner. The fully equipped kitchen, cozy decor, and stunning sea views made for a perfect stay. The balcony was a favorite spot to relax, listening to the sound of waves.
It’s located 3km out from Taghazout center, on the hills, consider you will need the car to move, but it’s only 5min-7min drive. They have a very beautiful area for hiking just few min distant from the hotel and a lovely private garden with small pool.
Very large site with lots to offer. Playground, gym, beach, pools, restaurants, spa, yoga, surfing, very spacious room (suite with kitchen and living room). Very good when travelling with a family. Stylish and modern and nice vibes.
Everything was amazing the room was amazing and clean, all the restaurants had great food with fresh products. But the best thing was the staff, i have never seen people that nice all of the staff at the hotel were nice.
The property was beautiful and in a good location on the beach. The restaurants had limited but good options. The staff was friendly, accommodating and willing to take extra initiative to ensure our stay was pleasurable.
The location is a 5 mins walk to the beach. I had a room all to myself so it was quite peaceful. Super friendly staff. Perfect stop between Agadir and Taghazout.
