The buses to get to other ski fields and around Happo One...
The buses to get to other ski fields and around Happo One are somewhat confusing but it seems that there are more buses than on the timetables so that is a bonus. Many lifts start at 8am, so ideally one would have breakfast at 6:30 so one could get an early bus, but may be a challenge finding accommodation that does this.

It’s a ski and snow lover paradise. A small town with not so much city vibe, but best for snow or ski experience. It’s the idyllic charm that stands out for me. Everything u need for snow and ski experience is available there, for rent or to buy.

Hakuba is great and very welcoming.
Hakuba is great and very welcoming. The people and food are amazing. The skiing was great given the snow levels were lower than normal. The only thing to keep in mind is the bus service, while convenient can get crowded and does not run as much as it maybe should. A car would definitely be a great asset to have.Gleason

Ski drying area was excellent, is only 5mins walk to the Goryu ski field but as it was uphill, took the free shuttle instead. Definitely not a ski in ski out experience, but with the discounted lift passes and rentals, and the easy access to Goryu/Hakuba 47 it was A great spot nonetheless. Had an excellent dinner at the hotel, it was amazing! Breakfast was a mix of traditional Japanese and Western, never went hungry. If we go back to Hakuba would definitely stay again.

Darren and his staff were friendly and helpful at all times, organising restaurant bookings and offering a ride to dinner if needed. We had a two-bedroom apartment for our family of four and it was well-equipped, clean and spacious. The location is peaceful and within walking distance from Happo One. The bath came in handy after a long day skiing :) The drying room downstairs was much appreciated too!

They really made sure that we felt at home during our stay. The room was also nice and the beds were comfy. Definitely sufficient for sleep in/ out. The shower was a bit small but still manageable. The location was also great, just a few steps away from the bus stop going directly to a few slopes like Happo One or Hakuba47. The nearest convenience store was about 10 min walk in the middle of Echoland.

Separate bedroom for adults, bunk beds for kids, kitchen with seating area, bathroom, and a very clever made dry room for skiers. The location is perfect for skiers. It is close to the ski rental, Pub, and chair lift ( 7 min walking distance to the chair lifts). as guest of the lodge you get coupons to use the Onsen at the hotel next door, which is a great place for Onsen lovers.
