Absolutely beautiful in every way. Beautiful friendly staff - who made a point of remembering everyone's names.
This beachfront resort is set amongst beautiful pathways, swaying palm trees and tropical gardens. Guests can relax around the swimming pool or enjoy cocktails at the swim-up bar.

I loved how Club Raro is on the reef front, and you can go and watch the waves breaking on the reef any time you want We could also hear the waves from our room at night. I also like how the entire complex is single storey. The landscaping around the pool area is gorgeous, and I loved being able to see the sea from the dining room. The pool is small but perfectly adequate as the resort is adults only, so there are no children to compete with for space in the pool. Our stay at Club Raro was even better for the fact that the staff there are fantastic - warm, welcoming and very helpful.
Boasting an outdoor pool and stunning tropical garden, with lagoon and ocean views, Muri Retreat Apartments is just a 1-minute drive or a 5-minute walk to Muri Lagoon.

Simon and Denise were great. Simon picked us up from the airport, gave us a few pointers as we drove to the accommodation and then showed us to our room and explained everything on arrival. They left a TV with lots of movies for us to watch during our stay, which we ended up doing a little of due to the weather. The apartment had everything we needed, the laundry was a bonus and the pool area was very cute with the ability to have a bbq by the pool. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely be back

We absolutely loved Moana Sands Beachfront Villas. We were greeted at the airport and taken to our villa. There was fresh fruit and cereal provided for breakfast. After the first morning, we had breakfast right next door at Circles Cafe. The rooms were very clean and spacious, and each bedroom had its own bathroom. We walked straight out of our room onto the golden sands and a perfect swimming / snorkelling beach. There were kayaks and snorkel gear provided for free.
There is a 24 hour shop across the road and takeaways on the weekend. Everything we needed was on the doorstep.
To top it off, the staff were wonderful. Extremely friendly and helpful. We can't wait to come back, and have already recommended Moana Sands to our friends!

This place must be the best value for money on the Island. It is small meaning the pool isn't crowded and the staff are so friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again preferably in the same room 23 which is right on the ocean.

Our trip was amazing, however there was one theme that was a huge put off. Some of the places we went had absolutely horrible attitudes towards us. Rude with no greetings and sour faces, it is not nice to be treated like that. This was NOT at every place we went but it was enough times to stand out.
Apart from that....it was a fun filled trip

Rarotonga is a great place to visit.
Rarotonga is a great place to visit. Its layed back and the weather is very nice. The beaches are great. We ate at Supper Browne in Tupapa at their cafe which was reasonably cheap steak meal. The local food on the early morning on Sunday was fantastic. Going to the movies could be good for young couples to spend some quality time without being too occupied with big expensive activities.

Enjoyed staying on the island of Rarotonga.
Enjoyed staying on the island of Rarotonga. Also did a day trip to Aitutaki. Both places were great for snorkelling, need water shoes to protect your feet from the coral.
Night markets offered delicious food.
We used the local bus to get around the island.

There is something special about this place.
There is something special about this place. From the moment we stepped off the plane, we felt so relaxed and welcomed. We stayed at Club Raro Resort (Adults Only) and I can only speak highly about this accommodation. They have amazing staff and the restaurant offers the BEST ribs on the island! Rarotonga is so relaxed and peaceful, all the locals and business's are really friendly, helpful and welcoming. You can use your New Zealand dollars, so no need for exchanging money before your trip. Easy to get around the island via rental car, scooter, bike or bus. Koka Lagoon Cruises were excellent! Four hours of fun, beautiful fish to see, snorkeling, yummy lunch and an entertaining show on an island. Happy Hour at The Edgewater Resort were a great price and so good. I've been here twice now and Raro will continue to be my annual holiday from now on.
This place was a home away from home - the staff were extremely welcoming, the breakfasts were great, and we enjoyed the hotel's senior golden retriever (Coco) and two cats. The villa itself was very clean, had a comfortable bed, and a well-working a/c unit. The furnishings aren't luxe, but are clean, comfortable and well-kept. There is a pool with adjoining jacuzzi, a children's playset and trampoline, and several grills around the property. The grounds themselves are gorgeous and relaxing, with ample space between villas.
Absolute beachfront with easy access. Lovely view from covered deck Out to, reef and beyond. Adequate private area for sun loungers, outdoor furniture and dining.
House is comfortable and has very well equipped kitchen. It’s not 5 star but certainly ticked all of our requirements. Has a great holiday home vibe. Easy walk to several excellent eateries, Island bus stops right outside and a good stretch of beach for walks. Annie our on-site hostess was friendly, helpful and unobtrusive.
Travellers need to be adaptable and understanding that Rarotonga is a developing island nation. Just about everything, except for taro and coconuts, is imported. Freight costs are high therefore living costs are high. Don't expect a cheap holiday. Also, due to the 2020 Covid pandemic, a lot of Rarotongans have left the island to find work in NZ and Australia. Locals are working two or three jobs to cater to the needs of tourists. Please be understanding and kind to the locals.
I've done a lot of traveling in my short 20 years but this was by far my favorite place to be. Rarotonga was beautiful and the Edgewater made it even better. The staff were incredible and listened to any concern or need we had, they were extremely generous and I felt that unlike other hotels and resorts they very much cared about their guests. I definitely can't wait for the day I come back.
Thankyou for everything
We loved our stay at Muri Beach Club Hotel. It's in a perfect location with the gorgeous Muri Beach right in your backyard. The free access to snorkelling gear, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards were a bonus. The free hot breakfast (due to fruits not being in season) was great. All the staff were very accommodating and kind, I'd definitely recommend this place during your stay in Rarotonga 10/10.
A great glamping experience. The tent (it feels wrong to use that basic word when it's such a beautiful facility!) is well-equipped, very comfortable and clean. The gardens are beautiful, and the location is only a few minutes' walk from the main road if you need to catch a bus. The owners were exceptionally helpful vs other places I've stayed in the Cook Islands.
A little dated but a quiet and adult only resort. The staff was the best I experienced in a long time. They really treated you as family. The location was good, especially if you like whale watching. It was nearing the end of the whale season but many were still present and we could see them from our room.
Rudy and Kanoe were amazing hosts…. this was our 5th stay in Rarotonga and by far the best… filtered water was provided, a good hotspot for internet and they were more than happy to help with anything... fresh fruit was also given. They were kind and thoughtful and we will be back for sure….
5 star service from all the staff who could not have been more helpful. Lovely room with a large comfy bed, spacious power shower, good sized heat pump to keep the temp down.
Nice breakfast to start the day, happy hour cocktails were a special treat at 3pm every day.
Amazing location with sunning views. Great facilities with the jetty, swimming pool, BBQ area, and use of kayaks and snorkelling gear. Our hostess Desiree was so kind, friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to ensure we had the best holiday possible.
Perfect location in Muri beach.
The owners was there if you needed them, but we enjoyed staying there by ourselves and quickly felt like home.
The WIFI with Starlink worked perfect and it was free of charge. I will for sure recommend Muri Shores.
The bed was wonderful. Spacious bungalow..very quiet except for the occasional rooster crowing. Very nice to be able to use the facilities
at the Muri beach hotel just up the road. Local bus at door.
Location to beachfront ideal. Good proximity to Wigmores Supermarket, easy drive to Muri Beach and a few nice restaurants. Great snorkelling at Fruits of Rarotonga.
