Spacious (for Japanese standards) and nice rooms.
Very close to Mt. Fuji railway station.
Most rooms have view to Mt. Fuji.
There is a nice rooftop terrace where you can have coffee looking at the mountain or amusement park on the other side.
Staff was friendly and helpful, we arrived early and left our luggage with them and arrived later to a ready room with luggage inside.
There is also a small kitchen that everyone can use.
There is no breakfast, but we had some recommendations of places in the neighbourhood.

Nice Hotel, next to Fuji Q Theme park, the main reason for going.
Express Bus station very close, so getting there and leaving very easy.
He otel has shuttle bus to a few locations, so can use that if you come by train.
Great views of Mt Fuji.
Only 1 full day there and it happened to be very wet. (Obviously not hotel's fault)

Our room was a Mt Fuji view room and we were lucky enough to wake up to a spectacular view of the mountain (only stayed one night) so feel very blessed couldn’t stop looking. The room was very comfortable and spacious.

When sunny, the town is very full of tourists. The train/bus station is very small for the amazing volume of vehicles and people that go through. So be prepared for crowded chaos at the station. Get the sightseeing bus pamphlet - this is a local town bus, the pamphlet shows you the attractions- it was handy. Popular attraction ropeway- great - but not remotely accessible- many many stairs and steep slopes. Good restaurant to the right of the exit of the ropeway.

We stayed for 3 nights - perfect for walking to sights like the pagoda, and a full day at Fuji Q. It meant we could choose our day according to the weather when most rides were open. There was a good variety of restaurants in the area, we had an especially good meal in ‘Aio’. Even in low cloud and rain it was interesting to wander round and fall into cafes and we had the pleasure of suddenly seeing the majesty of Mt Fuji when the clouds cleared. Fujiyoshida was a relaxing change to the tourist bustle of Kyoto and Nara which we’d just been to.

I stayed near the Shimoyoshida Station at Asumi Onsen.
I stayed near the Shimoyoshida Station at Asumi Onsen. I am very glad that I did not stay in Kawaguchiko, which is swamped by huge numbers of tourists from all over the world, causing long lines in every store anywhere near the train station. I got Mt. Fuji views from everywhere but my stay was relaxed and amongst the local Japanese, except at the Chureito Pagoda. Mountains and hiking paths were nearby. On my last day, I went to Kawaguchiko Station to pick up a bus back to Tokyo. One look at the long lines and tourists clogging the streets made me certain that I made the right choice to stay away from all that.

Fujiyoshida is a tourist area.
Fujiyoshida is a tourist area. Within half an hour drive around are ropeways, scenic areas, hikes temples and various other activities like quad bike riding, zip line, safari, rides, outlet shopping, etc. You need to be there to know what is there. For example, Mishima Sky Bridge is not just a scenic area but filled with lots of fun activities. A good time to go is to be able to catch the sunset on the bridge against Mount Fuji. Magical.

Fujiyoshida has some great viewing points for Fuji San, the town itself is quiet but has some lovely places to eat. Even though it is so close to the biggest tourist attraction in Japan it doesn’t feel busy with tourists.

The town was very quiet when we arrived on Sunday morning, which was a most welcome change after being in Tokyo for a few days. It is easy to travel between the town and Fuji Q Highland with the train. The shops in the town are quaint and we enjoyed our time there very much. Everyone we encountered was very welcoming and friendly and helpful.
One of my favourite stays during a month in Japan. Definitely more of a boutique guest house than a hostel. Beautiful design and very comfortable rooms. Lovely communal space with nice teas available and the sister cafe (where you have the breakfast) was a highlight of my entire trip ( I went 3 times in less than 24 hourse). Location was amazing and I LOVED Fujiyoshida as a little town. Would absolutely return and recommend to anyone looking to stay near Fuji.
Easy walk to Churieto Pagoda, recommend going for sunrise.
The room views are facing Mt Fuji so the scene is literally right in front of the window of the rooms. However if its cloudy and rainy you can’t see Mt Fuji at all and you’ll need to be patient to wait till it clears out. The rooms are very clean, neat and tidy Typically Japanese standards. Rooms for family size is big and comfy. Staffs there are very courteous and helpful. Hotel is just minutes walk to Fuji Station which is a bus and train station. Great place to stay.
Exquisite! Epitome of Japanese hospitality through and through. We particularly enjoyed our kaiseki course dinner served by our very polite hostess. A variety of activities can be sought within the hotel through the night.
The private Onsen overlooked Mount Fuji like a dream. The hotel also prides itself on its linen, sheets and pillows.
An amazing stay that I would fully recommend!
The room with the private onsen was well appointed, being able to dine in the room was a lovely touch. We had an enjoyable dinner and breakfast at the hotel, including light refreshments available at the common area. The private view of mt Fuji in my room and at the top floor of the public bath area was unforgettable! The big garden was amazing and we loved exploring it!
The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. Our room was comfortable. We had a private onsen which was so nice to use after a long day of walking. The instructions for the onsen were also super clear and easy to follow. Also, the hotel is located a ways off the main road so it is quiet - which is so nice as the onsen are located on the room balconies. Very relaxing!
Nice hotel. Located about 7 minutes walk from Fuji Q Highland park (from the south entrance which is not the entrance. Officially).
We got a room with an amazing view of Mount Fuji and it was amazing to start the day with this view.
The Wi-Fi in the room is fine, occasionally disconnects.
There is an Onsen in the hotel.
Had the whole 3 storeys villa by ourselves - with pretty Mount Fuji view at the rooftop 😍 The hotel staffs prepared hot water bath before we check in so that we could enjoy the bath. Very clean villa, spacious, comfortable and have everything we wanted. Highly recommended!
The beautiful view of Mt. Fuji by the bedroom window was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable, room was very spacious and cleanliness was excellent. The staff were very friendly, supportive, considerate and most of all speaks English in which you seldom see in Japan.
Hana, a wonderful and endearing person, at your service. We loved our stay! She is without a doubt the best host we met during our trip to Japan. If you go to Fujiyoshida you absolutely must stay there!
A big thank you for everything Hana
Maxime and Carolane :)
Best view and really homie . There are 3 rooms and the separate bathroom . Every corners are very clean . Link house near from fujisan station. In the morning i can enjoy your breakfast with best view i ever saw .
The hotel presented very well, modern and clean! Onsen within the hotel was an added bonus, a great space to relax! Only a very short walk to FujiQ Highland Theme Park (which we could see from our window)
The hotel has such a great view of Mount Fuji, and the connecting onsen/ spa offers the chance to truly relax. The Japanese restaurant served excellent food, and all staff were friendly and attentive.
We had the in room onsen tatami style room, it is spacious and clean, onsen is big enough for 3 of us (1 child) the view from room is very beautiful, and there is a drum performance during our stay
Great place if you are looking to stay at a traditional Japanese hotel. The owners were very kind and forthcoming, there was a private onsen and the breakfast was delicious. Definitely recommend.
Amazing location and property. The person that welcomed us was very helpful and very nice, this guest house greatly contributed to an amazing stay in Fujiyoshida.
