You can walk to Cathedral Cove from Hahei Beach Resort, follow the beach and connect to the Cathedral Cove walkway (the walk takes about 1 hour each way).

Well equipped accommodation. We arrived early but were able to check in then which was good. Facing inland (which we knew when we booked) but the ones facing the sea had a lovely view if you could choose one of those. Parking outside and close enough to walk to restaurants/pub.

The location couldn't have been much better, just a short walk across a green space to the small town of Hahei. Mike and Andrea were terrific hosts and gave us good advice on things to do and places to eat. They also provided a shovel for nearby Hot Water Beach.

The location was great and easy to find. We only stayed one night, which was a shame as we'd have loved to stay longer. The kitchen was well equipped, and things like clingfilm and foil were available. We cooked and used the dishwasher, so again, it was great to have all that available. Loved the outside shower, although we didn't use it.
They provide kids buckets and spades for hotwater beach. The beds were comfortable too.
They also provided a great little selection of books for kids and a couple of games.

Wonderful, clean, tasteful place to stay! We loved our time here! Very short walk to the beach and town eateries/shops. Erin was lovely and gave helpful information about things to do. A real bonus was her darling dog Cleo. Would highly recommend staying here!

We arrived after Cyclone Lola so it was wet and sea was churned up with a big swell. The sun came out and we enjoyed our evening walk on the beach which is beautiful. The morning we got up at 5.30 am and drove to the foot of Te Pare and walked up to the point for sunrise photos. We did the Hahei explorer boat trip which was a great way to see the coastline which is currently shut to walkers. Later we drove to Hot Water Beach which was great fun leaping the huge waves! The tide and swell was too high to dig spa pools but we felt the hot water with our toes! We had dinner both nights in The Pour House which served amazing food.

Phil and Sue were fantastic hosts.
Phil and Sue were fantastic hosts. They helped us with great advice regarding road closures we encountered on the way. Thanks to Phil, we found an alternate route and missed the closure completely.
Once we arrived we felt so welcome and Phil gave us a ride up to the start of the Cathedral Cove walk.
I highly recommend staying here.

We would have liked to give the accommodation Cathedral Cove Appartment a 9.7 score as we thought it was much better than a 9.0 which is what it caame up as We rated all the amenities as the best we could and thought that the score would come up as more than 9
We stayed at the Hahei Retreat for one night. The hosts, Brian and Helen, are really lovely and helpful and answered our questions quickly in advance. The property is on the edge of the village (15 minutes to the beach) and offers great views at the landscape. The room is very clean and has everything you need...with a large terrace and grill. I would definitely recommend this accommodation!
Excellent B&B. Spacious room with outside sitting area. Great shower. Super breakfast - freshly cooked with good choices. Phil and Sue are welcoming and helpful hosts - lots of good local knowledge and useful suggestions. This property and Hahei are recommended. Nice beach, kayak trips are super and the beer and pizza at the Pour House recommended. Mercury Vineyard great on a nice sunny day.
An incredible property with superb views. Very clean and well equipped, the bed was the most comfortable that we had experienced on our trip. Kevin and Mary were amazing hosts and made us feel so welcome. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was a memorable one. We certainly hope to return and Hahei Sea Vista (2) would definitely be our first choice.
Nice location in the hamlet of Hahei. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Room was small but the bed comfortable and the en suite clean and the shower was powerful. We loved the local beach, and the nearby hot water beach was great fun (go there at low tide +/- 90 mins). Unfortunately the footpath to cathedral cove was closed after cyclone damage.
OMG Hahei Ocean Dream is just that a Dream! The view from the extensive deck is outstanding and 10/10 wow factor! The house itself is very comfortable inside and outside with plenty of room for everyone. The hot tub on the deck was a lovely touch to sit in and look at the dreamy view!
Friendly staff. Attentive. Hard working. Beach area out front is nice, with available kayaks. Dining area nice also- enjoyed the fire dancing show and live music. Front desk remembered my name. Taxi service at front, ability to schedule tours.
We booked the Cottage. Very friendly and helpful staff at check in. The cottage was spacious, clean and had a few lovely touches like fresh flowers. The location is brilliant. Walking distance to the beach and close to a cafe, shop and bistro.
We absolutely loved the location. It Is easy to walk to things in Hahei, very close to Hot Water Beach, and easy access to Cathedral Cove (once it is reopened!). The hosts were very kind and even loaned us a shovel for Hot Water Beach.
The view cannot be beat. It was so gorgeous staring out at the ocean and islands all day. The home was very clean and very comfortable. We loved the decor; made it feel very homey. Loved the walkway down to the beach.
Ideal location and great views looking down on Hot Water Beach from a distance.
Hosts were very welcoming and helped with requests for a BBQ and a head torch for a night trip to the beach when we had forgotten ours.
Quirky cabins set in beautiful gardens. Private balcony. Helpful and attentive staff. Washing facilities available for a small charge. The on-site restaurant is a cracker and should be part of any visit to Hahei.
The place is neat and tidy. It is spacious and a walking distance to hahei beach.
Jodi, the host is nice. She offered to separate 2 single beds for my 2 boys without being asked.
The apartment was large, surrounded by nature. nice and comfortable place with balcony. good ping pong table
Quiet and close to hahei beach and hot water beach.
