The area has changed drastically over the years. Four years ago it was not a place to visit, but it is slowly improving. There is still a little seedy element/edge to it - but the roads are improving and there are some decent resorts - which if you are in need of the sea, it can fit the bill and with the new highway from Phnom Penh, you can get there in under 3 hours.MichelleCambodia - 2.0Scored 2.0

We enjoyed the trip to Koh Rong, specially Long Beach and Prei Kong Kang. We don’t like those taxi men at Koh Rong, they were so aggressive attacking and pressured visitors. I wished they should have better attitude to make visitors feel more comfortable. Even though, I speak Cambodian fluently to them not to intimidate me. I preferred to find my own ride.

Good to be at Sihanouville.
Good to be at Sihanouville. Nice white sand and you can always enjoy local foods and meet friendly people. You may like to take the motorbike or bicycle ride or walk along the beaches. It is quite relaxing nice beach. You can enjoy the free-provided fresh water from the Governor of this province almost everywhere along the beach. Nice job to the government of Cambodia to think of such impact and nice wash rooms.

Sihanoukville is a rough and ready port town, with little to recommend it. Any buzz it had when flowing with gambling money has moved on and all that is left are half-built follies of rotting concrete. Few services or restaurants. Get in, get the ferry, and get out asap.

I love how food is good there. I love how I could wash my clothes even when i staying in the hotel. the fridge there even bigger than what i have at home. and i love how i can order a drink in swimsuit to see the sunset on the rooftop. it's just perfect. just pitty that I couldn't stay longer

A bit basic but comfortable enough for a short stay. Thanks to TV with Netflix. I would recommend putting 2 pillows on each bed as standard. We looked out onto a cute little courtyard, very quiet to say when we were in a busy area of Sihanoukville.

But i saw mostly staff working long hours and do different jobs, on my second day i saw housekeeping staff do gardening job and laundry. It is noticeable that the hotel does not have enough funds for current repairs, but this is not the fault of hotel, all because Sihanoukville has turned into a Chinatown. Jenny even arranged for us to have a free car with a driver to drive around the city. It was a great time.
