The grounds were pretty with lots of flowering plants growing and grassy areas to hang out in. There is a pool that is pretty as well.
I would stay here again for the price and the location I needed to be.

Great house, with beautiful view. Check-in was easy with keys in a locker, easy access, great location close to Poas and La Paz.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Heredia, although, unfortunately, it was only for one night. The place was very clean, easy to find, and the hosts were super friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was terrific, as well. Such a beautiful place.
Seems like a grand hotel which has seen better days. That said, the cost of the hotel is more than reasonable. The rooms were spacious for the price.
Hotel staff provided great information for being prepared to explore San Jose and Heredia. The train is a great option (very reliable and relatively quick) to get to San Jose. Heredia is a wonderful area to walk around. Staff provided accurate estimates for taxi costs.
Breakfast was an option of white bread toast and butter/jam or cereal. Both come with a banana and coffee/tea.
Great staff. Taking into account Covid19 related problems and restrictions, all the staff gives their best to keep hotel operation as good as possible (that is the main reason for my overall rating for this hotel) If you have something to do in Heredia City, this hotel has an excellent location. It is near many restaurants, 150m from a supermarket and a car rental site, 500m from Universidad Nacional, 700m from a small mall and a bank (where you can exchange US Dollars to Colones at good exchange rate - bring your passport).
Friendly, warm hosts maintaining a generational family home in the heart of Heredia. We enjoyed wandering around their property, taking in all the towering trees that makeup this idyllic yet lively landscape.
We especially enjoyed their trio of family dogs and the relaxed atmosphere we felt throughout our stay. Though we travel as a couple, they had flexibility with sleeping arrangements to accommodate families.
We plan to return before we have a last farewell to Costa Rica! Highly recommend!
The staff was the highlight of our stay ! Norman and Ingrid welcomed us warmly and made sure our stay was perfect.
The chalet is very cute, luckily there is an electric heater because it can be cold in the mountains.
The scenery around the hotel is beautiful, with a very nice view on the valley! The garden is impeccable, with beautiful hortensias and other flowers.
Also the location is ideal to visit Poas volcano.
Thank you Ingrid and Norman :)
Andreas was really kind and helpful, he gave us lots of good tips on where to go (Heredia Central Market was brilliant for breakfast!) and even a lift into town.
The accommodation is really comfortable and superb value, we loved the view from the loft room. Kitchen adequate for basic cooking.
Basic shops 5 minutes walk away, big supermarket 10 mins.
It was equipped with some kitchen items (which I hadn’t realised from the description), and was clean and comfortable. The host was lovely and very kind. Beautiful tranquil setting in the middle of hectic heredia!

A very clean, comfortable and secure place to stay in Heredia. There are many restaurants and local shops nearby. Close to the different bus stops that go into San Jose etc. We enjoyed our stay, Thank you.
The location was perfect for her to just walk around. It was in the middle of the city of Heredia and everything was in walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would rent it again.
A beautiful historic estate in the heart of Heredia. It was a great place to start our Costa Rican trip. The room was huge, the hosts were gracious, and breakfast was delicious.
Very convenient location for the airport, nice food spots near by if you have a car. Area felt safe too. Maria was very kind and accommodating to meet us for a late check in.
It was a truly magical location! We loved the flower themes of each chalet. Waking up to the smell of fresh strawberries from the hotel farm was an amazing surprise!
The host was very kind and showed me around Heredia a bit. He also gifted me free fruits that I'd never tried before. Overall I had a wonderful stay at Casa Cora.
