Hospedaje El Viajero offers rustic-style building and a garden, located in the tropical town of Panajachel by the shores of Atitlán Lake. Free WiFi in all areas is available.

Awesome location right off Santander. Staff was friendly and they even had a talking parrot! I just spent one night after the long bus ride from Antigua, so not much else to say. Free coffee/tea and water were also a bonus!

Hotel Atitlan, hotel in Panajachel

Hotel Atitlan, located in from of Atitlan Lake, is a rustic-style property offering extensive gardens and panoramic views of Atitlan Lake. It has an outdoor pool, hot tub, and a botanical garden.

We booked this hotel last minute and late at night. Booking confirmed our hotel, but I knew there was a chance that they might not have confirmed themselves. When we got there, because of the last minute booking their receptionist had already left. Regardless, the guy was super sweet and when we called upper management, they told him to accommodate us and that they would handle it in the morning. They were able to keep us in our room for the two nights that we were there. Very helpful.

This location is amazing. I really enjoyed staring at the view, and I really loved the onsite coffee shop. Also the bakery cart right at the hotel was lovely. Was easy to book a shuttle to Guatamala city straight from the office. Boat lauch to head to other locations around the lake are walking distance from the hotel.

I love this hotel. The day starts off with excellent Guatemalan coffee and moves to a wonderful, traditional breakfast of eggs, fruit, meat, toast and more coffee. The staff is there to answer all of your questions about the lake, transportation and where to get money out of the ATMs. They are very helpful with moving your luggage if your room is not on the ground floor. I have been staying here for many years and they have always met my expectations.

Main Street Santander is not ideal, you listen to reggaeton music in many places which is terrible and so disgusting. There are many little restaurants where you can eat for a fair price. The lake view is great but the surroundings are not very nice, the place is not tourist ready, you might go to other little towns like San Pedro, Santa Cruz or San Juan

Panajachel is paradise. The weather is beautiful.

Panajachel is paradise. The weather is beautiful. Lots of sun, but not too hot most of the time. Lots of great restaurants. There are a lot of markets stalls around with local goods, like hand woven textiles. The lake itself is amazing. Panajachel has access to something for everyone. San Juan for artists, San Pedro for a nice night life, San Antonio for pottery, San Marcos for yoga retreats, etc. All of the towns are just a lancha (ferry) ride away. Be careful during the rainy season, because in the afternoons you can get soaked

This is a very clean and safe place to stay.

This is a very clean and safe place to stay. I felt very safe being out during the day and at night also. It is easy to get a tuk tuk to take you where you want to go. There are plenty of places to eat with a variety of menu choices. Most menus have vegetarian options. I have never had a problem with finding great food and the prices are very reasonable. If you want to explore the other villages on the lake, it is easy to take a public boat and go anywhere.

This town is so much fun.

This town is so much fun. Definitely has a tourist trap vibe but the activities here are so much fun. We did an ATV tour to see the sunset. We had a blast! The views were breathtaking. There was some road work that cut our planned tour short but the guild we had was amazing and did what he could to make it a full and worth while experience. Simoon tours was who we went with. Yesua was our guild, though I could be butchering his name, sorry if I am. He was amazing! I would absolutely do other tours they offer, especially if he was the guild again. So much fun!

The very friendly staff. The perfect WiFi (best in Guatemala so far), the private kitchen (we had the superior apartment which means the one on the second floor), the terrace where we enjoyed our breakfast and dinner, the strong and warm shower (hot water on the right), the silence at night, staying in a real local neighbourhood away from “gringotenango” in the noisy centre, close to the local market and a large supermarket, good connections with tuk-tuk (but only 15 minutes walk to the centre of town). We”ll book again!

Beautiful grounds! Lovely pool and garden. Private dock which makes it quite convenient to travel among the various towns. The front desk staff was very helpful in making travel arrangements for us. The hotel itself is tucked away from the heart of the town, so getting to town is via tuk tuk. It’s a great place to stay if you are looking for a place to relax, among lovely surroundings. If you’re looking for more activities and want to be among the more local vibe and hustle and bustle, then this may not be ideal.

Selina Atitlan is a smooth operation that meets pretty much all your needs. It's a great place to meet people, with lots of activities and gathering spaces. The room was huge and beautiful and had everything we needed, including pretty good wifi. In fact, the whole facility was very beautifully appointed. The bar/breakfast staff were great. Excellent location. There are very few properties that have a beach on the lake. The hotel has a better beach and lake access than the more expensive neighbours. I also enjoyed the complementary kayaks. The hotel is right next to the national park and is within a walking distance to Panajachel although I would not recommend walking after dark because there is no sidewalk. Tuktuks are also plentiful.

The view, restaurant, pool, and facilities of the hotel were perfect. There is a lot to do with the game room, pool, kayaks, and dock where you can get a boat to go to the other cities around the lake. The restaurant food is amazing and reasonably priced for the area. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, we just wish that the apartment was cleaner.

Amazing staff, as usually happens in Guatemala! The hotel is beautifully decorated, and has nice views of the lake and volcanos. The village is great, much smaller the most villages so its less hectic. The problem with that is that there's no public shuttle from the pier, but then again its very easy access by taxi from the main village right next.

The hotel was a complete quiet room. It was down an alley quite near the center of activity and the main street in Panajachel. There were also some lovely local stores that I found interesting as well. There was also one shop where Piñatas were made so I got to see that process.
