Great location right in the heart of the village. Beautiful pool and beach. Rooms were large and well appointed. Staff was phenomenal! Vanessa is an absolute gem and made our days at the pool perfect! Jacqueline went above and beyond to ensure everything from transportation to Easter egg hunts were taken care of.

The grounds were immaculate and beautiful with gorgeous tropical plants everywhere. all of the rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious. The rain shower had amazing water pressure! And the bed and pillows were so comfortable, I could’ve stayed in bed much longer if I wasn’t so excited to get up and explore Belize! The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, even after we left our stay at Mariposa we came back to say goodbye once more and have one more pina colada with the wonderful people running this great place.

I was a little nervous about staying here because, due to it being eco-friendly, the cabins didn't have air conditioning and the stay wasn't going to be as luxurious as some other stays I've had, but I am so glad I took a chance and we decided to stay here. It is a once in a lifetime experience, and you truly feel like you're on your very own private island. We were free to do whatever we wanted whenever we wanted, and the food and drinks were absolutely excellent. Every single thing we ate was delicious. It exceeded all of our expectations. We were able to snorkel and kayak, and my husband went fishing every day we were there (and caught something to eat each day too!). The wildlife is amazing to see, and the water is absolutely crystal clear. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and they're always around to answer questions, check to see if you're hungry/thirsty, or need anything. Allen and Lloyd make our stay remarkable, and we will be recommending this island stay for years to come!

Amazing place with the nicest staff! Beautiful grounds, beautiful beach. Our room was a standalone cottage with a cute front porch area and an amazing rooftop deck with a spectacular view to the beach. No restaurant on site, but a spacious bar where food can be delivered (or to your room). Breakfast was delicious (omelets), good bar drinks and when I was dehydrated one of the staff picked me a fresh coconut for me to drink. Staff goes above and beyond. When I accidentally left my diamond necklace in the room at checkout, they tracked me down at another resort to let me know it was safely in the office for me. Wish we had stayed longer than 1 night and will definitely return!!!

Good places to buy groceries and to eat. Limited bus and boat service could leave you stranded. great ice cream shop. Stay for a couple of days and then head to Hopkins for a superior beach experience..went snorkelling on the Marine reserve and was disappointed as there weren't many fish to see.

We stayed at Itz'Ana on Placencia about 15 minutes north of the village. Itz'Ana was a beautiful place, with gorgeous infinity pool overlooking very nice beach. Our room opened onto the pool deck with a good sized patio with a comfortable daybed outside. Plenty of shade, great breezes. The staff was great. Placencia Village itself has some good restaurants and good grocery stores for provisioning but not much else. Taxi service was good and prices good, but best to ask in advance, "How much will it be to take two people to Rick's restaurant". You'll get a straight answer. A lot of people rented golf carts to get around, and that might have been nice--but none available at our resort.

People are wonderful.
People are wonderful. Restaurants are fabulous cute little beach bars, always having entertainment and specials, I’ve never met more friendlier people, the sidewalk with all the little shops was a lot of fun, and you get to know the people along the way, a word of advice check beach conditions before travelling as it was, horrible, full of garbage and trash, from the ocean it just had not been cleaned up yet, and there was so much of it, it’s not always like that they had quite a few storms, but still ?

The village is very small.
The village is very small. It advertises white, sandy beaches, but does not mention the seaweed that is all along the coastline. I feel it is important for travelers to know that the magic is in the excursions to the little islands like Laughing Bird Caye. There are many good restaurants, but food variety is limited due to the remote location. There is an ice cream shop that is exceptional! It is fun and relaxing to stay in Placencia.
Odasa is a gem. She met us on check-in and helped us to pick up something we forgot after checkout. A lovely person.
The cabana room was comfortable and larger than other similar rooms of the same price in Hopkins and Placencia.
There was AC and a fan so the room was comfy during the heatwave, and after going to many of these types of accommodations in Belize this may be the only cabana hotel I may book again.
Given the average hotel room standard and cost of hotels/stays in Belize, this is very good value for money.
beautiful spot on the beach and so very private and quiet. we absolutely loved it. our cabana was so perfect and the service was excellent. we absolutely love that we did not have to check out any of the toys that we wanted to use and could just take them at our leisure. We also like the fact it was adults only so it was the most serene and quiet vacation we could’ve hoped for. we could walk anywhere in town and feel safe and protected and the local Belizeans were so nice during our entire state. It is an absolute jewel.
Nice little beach hut with a 1 min walk to the private picture perfect beach. Lovely location which is what the place is all about. Clean and tidy and a no fuss approach to booking in and out. We had a very relaxing few days. The accommodation is functional and as described. Located a short drive from the main Placencia Village where there are plenty of nice places to eat and drink. We particularly liked Cha Chi's, amazing cocktails and Pizza's with 3-6 happy hour too.
The hotel is so beautiful, decorated with taste. Everything is beautiful, clean and well-maintained. The infinite pool is amazing, with a pizza bar everyday ! The staff is amazing, so nice and help-full. We are vegan and the chef cooked us special vegan meals, the food was delicious ! We had an amazing stay and will definitely come back!
Everyone here was super friendly. The room was perfect for what I needed and the hotel is in a perfect location in the village and also right on the beach. I didn’t have hot water at first but Shanay and Juan addressed that right away. When I left they even gave me a ride to the airport . Great vibes all around and great location.
Actually, everything was great, kitchen fully equipped, everything super clean, the entire room recently renovated. Everything at it's place. Hotel perfectly located very close to the beach, you can still hear the waves😀, everything worked. Very friendly staff, laid back and accomodating. Perfect stay, highly recommended!
This hotel is located close to the end of the village, but because the sidewalk is close by and the village is small, the walk to the center of town if less than a mile. Delia who is the local manager is wonderful and friendly. And during this visit, Michel, the owner, who is often in Belgium, was present.
Staff was amazing ready at any moment to respond to questions and requests. Beautiful location right on the beach, grounds were immaculate. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Appreciated the complimentary bikes kayaks and paddle boards.
The hotel is on the beach, only a few steps from the ocean! Breakfast, lunch and dinner is excellent. (Try the Belizean breakfast!) Owners and staff are extremely helpful. It felt like home from the first second. I strongly recommend it.
Everything was excellent. The staff members were friendly and helpful, the buildings are beautiful and well kept, and the seaview is wonderful. The kitchen amenities were much superior to some competing hotels we saw in this area.
This place is right on the beach. The views are beautiful. The room had a mini fridge, microwave, AC and ceiling fans. The grocery store, pharmacy and many dining options are in within a few minutes walk. Would book again!!!
The gym and rooms had AC which after staying elsewhere is beyond import. The rooms were very comfortable. The food was better than expected-albeit the same menu choices
Def recommend this hotel.
clean and comfortable with everything we needed to relax. on the beach with great views. staff was amazing-friendly and responsive. the breakfast on the upper deck was good too.
Close to the beach, had a beautiful pool, had a wonderful covered porch had lawn furniture on the covered porch, and in front of our hotel room with a covered Cabanna
The room and cleanliness and view were nice. The room came with a full kitchen. Also there is good access to the beach as the property is on the beach.
