The property and accommodation was perfect.
The property and accommodation was perfect. It was just as what was advertised. The breakfast was well presented and good. The staff was very friendly and polite. If there was a negative it would be the toilet seat that needs replacing and also to ensure that all toiletry containers are full before guests arrive. Also there was no hand soap for the hand basin. Other than that we had a good stay.

George is a beautiful place with gorgeous picturesque areas but unfortunately I couldn't visit as I I was only passing through only stayed for one night. The location of this hotel is conveniently across the mall where you can go shopping have lunch or dinner. The lady at the reception also told us of other best restaurants we can visit in town and we found the best for our dinner their food was amazing 👏

Pathetic service, an absolute lie (4-star).
Pathetic service, an absolute lie (4-star). Will never ever visit this hotel again, and will make sure to advise others accordingly. In fact, will address this on 'Hello Peter' website to inform the rest of the world!!! Will also review on Booking.com
Shower leaking into the passage and bedroom. Basin running very slowly. Towels more than 10 years old, tattered at the ends and very thin. Toiletries not replenished at all. Uncountable amount of dirty stains on the carpet floor throughout the room, absolutely disgusting. TV loses signal all the time. WiFi signal is very poor. Kettle physically broken. What a disaster... definitely not a 4-star hotel, should be investigated for false advertising.
Manager not really perturbed by the complaints and doesn't really appear to be concerned by the ridiculous condition of the room, because the hotel is apparently "fully booked".
I've been to the Garden Route more that 15 years in a row and by far my worst experience!!

George is a city that MUST be visited by all South Africans.
George is a city that MUST be visited by all South Africans. George, along with Knysna and Plettenberg Bay are the most beautiful destinations in our country. The beaches are amazing (Heralds Bay and Victoria Bay) and the people are friendly. This really is the place to go to get away from the busyness of Joburg and get some decent rest.

Nice location, close to everything and safe area.
Nice location, close to everything and safe area. Come and go during the day and no need for assistance to enter property as you have your own code.Wifi excellent even during loadshedding. All the items you may have forgotton home was in the room to use. Not too many rooms and hot water no problem even it is fully booked. Nice garden area to relax after a busy, tired day. Very friendly dog that meets you on arrival and say goodbuy when departing. Excellent stay..thank you.
Traveling between Cape Town and Grahamstown we decided to sleep over in George. We were welcomed by our host Ken . What a great host he is . Showed us the apartment which was much more than expected. A great place to have spent more than one day. Everything we needed was there and more. Lounge , huge kitchen and a huge bathroom with shower and a bath . Perfect safe parking behind a security gate. Beautiful yard with beautiful plants and a pool . I just loved the passion fruit vine full of fruit in the backyard running along the fence.
We were attending the George Old Car Show and the hotel was on the same road as the venue for the show which was really convenient. The staff were extremely helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Especially Tiaan and Pinky. They were so happy to accommodate guests for any requests they had. My room had a lovely walk in shower and the aircon worked perfectly which was needed as it was very hot over the weekend. The rooms were very clean and the bed and linen were very clean and comfortable. The rooms were serviced everyday.
We had an amazing stay at this Guest House.
We were greeted by Jonelle who made us feel so welcome.
The rooms were outstanding! Spotless, big, comfortable beds with a lot of little extras.
The grounds were immaculate with a beautiful swimming pool.
Great restaurants are a walk away.
The breakfast we were given was 5* quality.
I would definitely come back here when we are in the area and will recommend anyone coming to George to give this lovely guest house a visit.
The amazing clean comfortable bed,
Coming from a farm I thought I am not going to sleep with cars riding pass the property, I really did not hear anything during the night. The owners keep in contact with you while you drive to the guesthouse and stay online with you until you are ok and know where everything and all switches are inside.
If I ever decide to go to George again, I will not stay at any other place than Georgina Self Catering.
I stayed at Be at Rest for a weekend in April. The host (Janey) was amazing and very kind. She took time to explain everything about the property and nearby amenities. The property is ideally located close to most restaurants and businesses. The room was super clean and generally spacious for two. I enjoyed every second of my stay, I will definitely stay at Be at Rest the next time I visit George
Spacious apartment which is very well equipped. Relaxing and quiet environment - we really enjoyed the views, beautiful evenings and the early morning mist over the mountains. Exceptionally well maintained - neat and clean with many little details. Friendly and supportive hosts - we left knowing that we have new friends in George!, Golfers View offered much more than what we expected.
The location was excellent for our exploration of the City of George and surrounding (Wilderness, Sedgefield. Victoria Bay and Herold's Bay) Also proximity to the city center and facilities and services needed from the Garden Route Mall.
Our hosts Mr.and Mrs Rampersad were most gracious in accommodating our dietary requirements and personalizing our stay. - Thank You.
The breakfast at Whispering Oaks Guesthouse is excellent. There is granola and yoghurt to start followed by a breakfast dish of your choice from the breakfast menu. Tea and coffee also available. The rooms are very comfortable. Our go to guesthouse when in George.
Initially, I was a bit concerned about the distance from George Town but it really is quite close & easy to find
The unpaved road is in very good condition & never posed any issues for our little car.
Carla was exceptionally helpful & very friendly indeed
It was so quiet and peaceful listening to the wildlife and rain. The ability to get away from the crowd but only be 15 minutes from middle of George is incredible. The braai with the mountains in the background was amazing. Definitely staying here again!
Sindy is the epitome of an excellent hostess and guest house manager. Absolutely no complaints on service, facilities, food or comfort - highly recommended. Easily accessible to George business, shopping, airport and restaurants.
We had a wonderful stay at Hanlie's. Quiet suburb on the side of George. Quickly to get to centre of town and was a great stay... Full kitchen and great facilities. Great braai area and great spot to enjoy with friends.
convenient location…close to Knysna, Wilderness, Plettenberg Bay and the George Airport. the gardens are beautiful and well maintained and mountains as a backdrop is just stunning.
Central to most locations in George.
Friendly staff and willing to help when asking questions
Good internet connectivity for those needing it to do work or just streaming
The hotel was booked, paid for and closed upon my arrival. When I called them they refused to cancel the booking and refund, and told me there are no rooms available..!
