The place is very clean. The location is as good as you can get. I was really pleased that I was able to shut out every bit of sunlight coming into the room, which made it much easier to sleep at night.

The hotel is new and clean. Maria Júlia herself is always around. She bakes fresh buns in the morning and prepares whatever you ask her to. The staff are sweet and helpful. The location is great! And the bar at the terrace is very pleasant.

I would have spent 3 days there maximum and spent the other 4 days in Tarrafal, instead.
In general I enjoyed my stay there, but Tarrafal it’s a different world, where you can actually feel the culture and be surrounded with beauty. Cidade abelha is also a must and it’s absolutely beautiful.
I would have loved to manage to see the typical ceramics, but people don’t talk much and don’t value much (unfortunately). I actually went to Sai Domingos on purpose to see it, but the locals said it was closed.

Praia is the capital of Cape Verde.
Praia is the capital of Cape Verde. The Santiago island is not the best if you are looking for a great beach experience. There are other islands with easy access that have superb beaches. We did a tour around the island which was interesting visiting Cidade Velha and Tarrafal as well as Sao Vicente. Tarrafal was a nice beach. The two main markets in Praia are a must see, also where you can buy some mementos.

Praia is a small "African" town, where you stroll around and enjoy the moment. There is actually nothing spectacular to see, but as a whole it is quite enjoyable. We walked thru Plato and along the beaches (Quebra Canela and Prainha). The restaurants there are really great: good food and nice view! But prices are higher than one would expect, more European.
The room was clean, bright and beautiful, the balcony and view were spectacular. The salt water pool was large, clean and warm. The night front desk officers Luis and Mario were excellent and very helpful. The breakfast was very good, as was the breakfast staff.
I also liked that the hotel pictures on the site are accurate - it is surrounded by a very rocky beach and doesn't present itself as beach hotel with an accessible sandy beach. There is a little sandy beach cove next to the hotel where people can swim.
I love the property closed to a lot of great restaurants and very closed to the beach. Huge window that opens with the shades overlooking the ocean good bed to sleep. Lots of glass around the property also is a plus doesn’t make you feel trap in the hotel. Terraces pool and bar with magnificent view of the ocean and all around the city. Closed to alot of great places to eat and listen to live music. Definitely my new favorite place to stay in Praia I will return soon. Love the place.
Good staff, place was spartan but mostly equipped for a short stay. I was here for a few nights after going to a few other islands in CV to see a different part of Praia (I stayed in Plateau at first) and there are some cool tapas and shisha bars nearby. While I didn't cook anything, there are basic facilities and a couple of supermarkets around the corner to the left on the bigger road. Also, vegans rejoice, the only vegan restaurant in Cape Verde is literally next door.
Very nice and helpful staff, especially the lady at the front desk and the young lady with a big smile. In case you wouldn't want to bother negotiating prices with taxi drivers, airport transfer is offered. Room is quite small but very tidy and clean. Delicious breakfast including local varieties (e.g. local cheese, chickpea salad). City centre (Plateau) and minibus (aluguer) station are both within a short walking distance.
New, clean, comfortable and spacious room and facilities. Fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms. Anton and his wife are very helpful, friendly and professional. They responded quickly to all my questions and provided help whenever I needed it. There's a convenience store a few steps from their house. They sent me a driver to pick me up from the airport who charged only half of what airport taxis charge.
The apartment is well located, has everything one would need for their stay. Clean, spacious and modern, comfy beds. Walking distance to the best beach in Praia and some local shops. Best thing about our stay was the Picoteo Tapas Bar that is located on the ground floor basically at the same building - we spent all evenings there! Best staff, best tapas, best cocktails in Praia, an absolute mus visit.
The room was nice and clean. I only stayed one night. I arrived late but the owners helped me by booking a taxi to pick me up at the port, they also came to give me the key.
The owners also helped me pick up a aluguer to the mountain by dropping at the « station ».
They were both super nice and really helpful.
The location is quite nice and there is a nice brunch place not too far from the hotel.
The breakfast and location were good. The staff friendly and available, Ibrahim showed us the nearest supermarket and restaurant when we asked. Kelly was very nice accepting to keep one of my luggage at the hotel during my travels around the islands. The kitchen with filtered water always available was very nice to have.
Where should I start. Its all good. We liked the stay, the location, the people that helped us so much, arranged pick up, taxis to other place and all things we needed they helped with. Very nice people, wish them best of luck and thanks again. Lovely place, clean, nice view.
Close to market where I can eat cheap local dish and minivan station for Tarrafal.
The guy running this accommodation is polite and very helpful.
Apartment is clean and there is security locker.
Wifi is fastest during my travel in Africa for more than a month.

Staff is very friendly and helpful
Quiet hotel in a residential neighbourhood. The staff is friendly, the room was really big, but the shower had no pressure and no hot water. Transfer from and to the airport was quickly arranged.
The host Maria was very helpful. She showed us places where we could buy food and assisted us with getting transport to go to the airport at a very reasonable rate. A very dependable person.
We chose that hotel for our last stay in Praia before leaving, we enjoyed the swimming pool. The personnel was nice and helpful, and the hotel is well located, near from the plateau.
The apartment itself is designed and decorated beautifully. The location of the hotel is far out the city and a bit hidden but for me that it exactly what I was looking for.
