Beach and surf town with a very relaxed atmosphere.
Beach and surf town with a very relaxed atmosphere. There are many restaurants, but the very best food is outside the city in a place called Cafe com Cacau. The food and the people there are worth a trip to Itacare. For tours, you have only two options, in my opinion - Dona (Sra.) Cida, a 74 years old lady who will show you the beauties of Itacare beaches and forests. And Leo, he is a master tour guide who is born and raised in Itacare, he knows every place and everyone in town.

It’s just removed enough to be peaceful, but close enough to town that you can quickly drive down or walk, if you don’t mind the steep hill on the way back up. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. The cocoa theme was super fun and made for some delicious cocktails and breakfasts. The pool was also a fantastic place to relax after long, hot days on the beach or hiking. The whole hotel is so wonderfully designed.

Fan, air-conditioning, fridge, television. There is a small communal kitchen with the essentials. There are washing lines for drying clothes and a sink for the laundry. The pousada is in the centre, so the rooms facing the street are a bit noisy, but this seems to be the case with most accommodation in Itacaré. Advantage: everything is close by. I recommend this pousada.

The room was perfectly clean, the breakfast was excellent, the place is very close to the Concha beach and also the main pedestrian street of Itacaré, so actually it really has the perfect location. Overall it was a very nice place to stay.
