There are no words to explain what staying at Hare Nua Boutique Hotel was....but I will try. This is one of the best destinations and best hotels I have ever stayed at. It is not about how comfortable the room was, which it was. It is not about how good the breakfast was, which it was. It is not about how professional they were...Hare Nua is all that you expect of a good hotel, but what makes it stand out from the rest is the feeling of community that they bring. The welcome with flowers and local desserts, how the staff tells you about how they live their culture and invite you to be a part of it. They are problem-solvers too, when we had a mixup with one of the shows, they helped us book it and gave us an amazing experience for me and my mom. Being gifted with a Moai protector as we said farewell was such a special detail too. This hotel is the right decision. Iorana e Maururu Hare Nua.

Hotel lobby, living and dining rooms are huge, room is spacious, their tours are excellent. Cold and hot water throughout the day. I noticed they even provided rain ponchos for rainy days to customers which is nice. The front desk guy was very nice and helpful. Breakfast good quality in local standard.

Our stay at the Pikera Uri Eco Lodge was fantastic! We were collected from the airport, and when we arrived the check-in process was really easy. Suggestions were made about car hire and the tours available. The room was well appointed, and the breakfast was amazing! The 15 minutes' walk along the coast into the town was superb. Such a beautiful backdrop to a great few days!

I'm so glad I went to the island and this hotel was a good choice. All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. There was plenty of hot water for showering. The wifi at the hotel was actually reasonable - I believe they have Starlink connected. I was able to have video calls with only slight interruptions during a heavy downpour. A cold breakfast was included with different breads, juices, and cold cuts. The hotel is a 20-45 minute walk to most of the stores/museums in town. On the days I had scheduled tours, tour guides picked me up and dropped me off. On the other days, I walked into town and was prepared for intermittent rain showers. I would guess that most people would want to rent a car if traveling often between this hotel and the city proper. I saw a couple of local (not international) car rental places in the middle of the city. The traffic is moderate and subdued, so I wouldn't hesitate to rent a car if I were to visit again. There are dogs and roosters that make noise regularly all over the island. You can shut the windows and filter some of the noise out. There are steep stairs inside with irregular depths and heights you'll want be careful on. There's a nice loft area upstairs with couches and a TV.

The trip was unique and special, there is lots to do and see. If you like hiking there are some cool spots. The Maio's are special and worth visiting. I would suggest hiring a car to get around and a guide to see the attractions.

CONS:
- Too much of a "money-grab" was our experience.
CONS:
- Too much of a "money-grab" was our experience. Felt like we were looked at like "walking dollars".
- Over-priced EVERYTHING. I know it's a remote island, but seriously!
- Too often, the card machines were "not working", so they wanted cash. We would walk away and return a few minutes later or longer, wait until we see a local use a credit card, and then make our purchase.
- TOO MANY LOOSE DOGS!! Their excrement is everywhere, many are in poor health. One followed us from waterfront to our hotel, and we had to fend off 40+ other dogs (no exaggeration) that got aggressive. We fed and watered this skinny dog, and walked it back to the waterfront area where "it found us" when we went back out in the afternoon.
- Basically two beaches where you can swim - but in reality, one. And it's 18km away from the populated side of the island.
- Many dusty roads driven by aggressive drivers.
PROS:
- The island is beautiful!
- A few nice hikes.
- Moai

There are many great restaurants, especially if you like the fish food!
Those moais are magical and sunrise tour is must!
Some things are very expensive there in Easter Island, example
renting a bike is 25€/24h !
I understand that some things in so isolated place is more expensive, but I think they have cartel in some business. Maybe they all don't understand that even they want to avoid the competition with each other, they will still have that competition with other vacation places. If people think it's too expensive, they go somewhere else.

You need to have interest in the history of the island.
You need to have interest in the history of the island. Showing up for a "resort style vacation" would be the wrong reason to go. We did a lot of homework and it was almost emotional to be there, especially after the island was run into the ground by greed.... You do need a guide to enter the parks. Sunscreen and water is your friend. You can stamp your passport, but not open on weekends.

I read on the internet:-
1. You could buy your ticket (USD80) for the National park at the airport. This is no longer the case. You have to buy your entry ticket in town.
2. Also, you could get your passport stamped with an Easter Island stamp at the post office. This is no longer the case. Go to the tourist information in town (sea front).
The staff are amazing, so helpful, kind and flexible organising the tours. Tour guide speaks perfect English and they tell you all the rapa nui history! I would highly recommend this hotel! The room is huge and very comfy. The sea view is perfect to wake up to in the morning. Only a 5 minute walk to town, but the hotel has wonderful barbecues in the evening. Its a great place to meet and mingle with the locals and other guests at the hotel.
Lovely location in a luscious garden surrounded by flowers and plants. Big bed, nice bathroom, comfy chairs on the porch and a helpful drying rack for clothes. The host Ximena and her son were outstanding - they met us from the airport with flower necklaces, nothing was too much trouble for them and they were always available for questions either in person or on WhatsApp. Easter island itself is amazing too - we loved it.
such a marvellous hotel – I think one of the best on the island. We had a bungalow which looked out over the Pacific ocean and not every hotel can offer that. But what we really liked was how welcoming the proprietor, Carmen and Paula made us feel - they couldn't be more helpful and accommodating and made us feel that we were in a home rather than a hotel, I'd come back and stay here any day
Not all the rooms have air con so important to check/confirm if this is important to you. Located on town's the main street so very convenient for anything you might need. Where the hotel wins is the tours that they provide, they are beyond excellent. For that reason alone we would stay again regardless of the facilities they offer. Probably the best tours we have experienced anywhere.
Iorana 🌺 I had an amazing stay. Thank you, Maria, Sebastian and the whole team🙏 You all made me feel at home as soon as I arrived and you always had good recommendations for me. Great location that is easily walkable to the attractions of Hanga Roa and good restaurants.
Clean, comfortable and well-located place 🍀 I highly recommend staying there. I hope one day I can come back 🗿
Rooms, pool, food and staff were excellent. We had an ocean view room with a patio that was very tranquil yet a short walk to town. Even though there were many restaurants in town we chose to eat dinner at the hotel each night because the food was so fresh and delicious. The best part of the hotel though was the friendly and helpful staff. It is a bit pricey but well worth it!
Excellent location! just 3 minutes by car from the airport, also quite close to the coast where you can find good restaurants, the port and some grocery stores. The room is tidy, new, quiet and all equipment are in good status. The hotel owner is also very nice and knows very well of the Island, he was our tour guide also during our short stay on the island.
The room was large and very clean! The WiFi was fast. The staff was extremely friendly. The hotel provided transportation to and from the airport. The location was right off the main street and within walking distance to many of the attractions that one is able to see without a guide. They also offer some tours if one is interested...
This was a great place to stay. The air conditioned rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was good and the hotel is centrally located making it easy to walk to most places. The office staff was very helpful, they arranged a tour of the island and a dinner show for us. This was a very enjoyable stay.
The owner of the hotel, Antoine, was a wonderful man. He made our stay comfortable and memorable. He was very patient, and kind. He met us at the airport and then dropped us back off. He also made us breakfast which was exquisite. We had his personal number so we could message him at any time.
The best part about this property was the staff. They are AMAZING. They don't treat you like hotel guest. They treat you like family. The service is very personal and they are so nice and friendly. They interact with you beyond check-in. They are real people and treat you like a real person
Sonia and her husband are perfect host. Worm welcome with handy information and delicious breakfast. Providing any help if needed. Hotel is great located and you are receiving calm place with beautiful garden. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Highly recommended!!!
Great place, quiet and peaceful neighborhood, close to the center of Hanga Roa. You can also rent a car on site, which is very convenient. The owner, Tiare, and her husband were incredibly helpful and made our stay on Rapa Nui a wonderful experience.
We really enjoyed our stay! The cabana was spotless and had all the extras you need to make your stay comfortable. Conveniently located to markets and a short walk into Hanga Roa. The hosts were very friendly and made us feel right at home!
It was just a few minutes walk to Hanga Roa centre, about 15 mins from the airport and 5-10 mins from
the restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helped us with a problem we had on the island.
Clean and comfortable well-organized rooms. Stellar staff, breakfast right to your room, perfectly situated hotel for sunset views. Easy walk into town shops and restaurants. Loved it!
the host are really nice. my original travel agent failed to book tours for me, and they offered me tour with a bit higher price, which saved my trip to Easter Island
