I only stayed three nights before going to Phuket. I would like to stay for a week in the future. We went to walking street once but during the day, I would like to go at night also. We visited the big Buddha which was nice. I had trouble arranging for a visit to the elephant Sanctuary in Pattaya but did that later in Phuket. The advantage is the beach and view.
The advantage is the beach and view. Yet it is far away from city center during traffic time (most of the day) and it takes a long time to get into the city. We stayed at the the Royal Cliff beach hotel, an expensive luxurious hotel yet it was very disappointing due to their unpleasant staff.

I do not recommend this place at all. The reception was really bad and they treat the booking.com guests in unwelcoming way. That really made me upset. Also the key collection process was a 1 out of 10 thing to me. Why would a guest do this after spending so much of money. Bad bad bad gesture by booking.com. I enjoyed the entire experience with great local facilities. Local bars and restaurants. I tried several restaurants and found the staff and standard of food excellent. The price was also great value. Food shopping was easy and transport on the baht bus is easy, regular and great value for money. The beaches are clean and tidy and always have staff to provide drinks and food at great prices

We found a clean hotel with a lift, TV and friendly staff for 600 BAHT - a stone's throw from WALKING STREET. Walking Street is interesting. We were also near the ferry to Koh Larn which in fact has exceptional beaches! I'd go to Koh Larn again if I ever come to Thailand again (but I don't 5hink I will !!!)Fairbairn

It made Thailand which is already a paradise a top of the line paradise. I enjoyed the restaurant which has a very nice selection. After we made the rounds of eateries with 3 or 4 blocks we eventually stuck with the restaurant. Again my stay was wonderful, even the TV stations were very good. I am 66 and overweight, which made going up and down to the beach a challenge, but we found the pool most enjoyable alternative.
