This place is paradise. We saw more animals here than anywhere else so far in Costa Rica. Even though it is just off the main highway, it is the jungle. The property is large, and full of trees. A troupe of monkeys comes to visit almost everyday. There are agouti, coati, iguana, toucans, hummingbirds, and at night, not far away, coyotes. There is an absolute symphony of nature sounds. The owner, Bettina, and her daughters, are lovely. The breakfast is great - fresh fruit, fresh buns, eggs, cereal, coffee. It kept us going all day. The hotel is ideally situated for visiting the Nauyaca Waterfalls, Marino Ballena National Park and the Uvita beach, Hacienda Baru nature trails, the Alturas Wildlife Sancturary, and more. There is a lovely swimming pool. We would do an excursion in the morning, and hang out by the pool in the afternoon. We were here for six nights, and had a fantastic time. Would definitely visit again.

Beautiful location. It is a fairly steep dirt road going to property, however it wasn't a problem for us during the dry season. Room was comfortable. Enjoyed the nice pool & surrounding area. Plants were beautiful. Enjoyed watching the howler monkeys in the trees. Peaceful location.

Although I loved Pacific Edge Eco Lodge and would definitely return, I found the little town of Dominical a bit off-putting. Seemed to be filled with aging gringos with no particular layout or planning. The beach was gorgeous though.
Also, we visited Naucaya Waterfall, several miles from Dominical which was fabulous.

Beautiful laid-back area with lots of things to do within an easy drive. Great beach area and a charming little town with lots of great places to shop and dine. We especially loved waffle fries at Fuego Brewing Company (and the cute treetop vibe), tacos at Hotel Rio Del Lindo, and homemade empanadas at Mama Toucans Natural Foods Store.

Dominical is like Ubud or Goa in the 90s- a chilled yoga/surf town. Hippie yoga pants and hammocks are on sale in the shops; Mama toucans sells pretty much everything from vegan food, chocolate and cosmetics. The food here is phenomenal: Phat noodle is excellent, Fuego brews its own beer from passion fruit to a blonde lager and has an excellent menu, the Pescado loco is a small menu but omg the fish taco was sublime. The restaurants are laid back but are really world class food stops. Very close to nauyaca waterfall, the reptile Centre, Alturas and Uvita & whale tail. But the best part is the excellent yoga on offer at Danyasa, which has the most beautiful yoga shala I have ever been in. Rockstar yoga is also great- fab teachers & a lovely space. I loved this place. Super friendly - feels v safe for a female traveler. Quite a few long term residents & off-griders here

If you love surfing, quiet beach town vibes.
If you love surfing, quiet beach town vibes. This is your place. We surfed every day. It’s beautiful. Some great restaurants around too like the Thai place. We did yoga in the yoga place up the road too. And there’s an organic market ‘mama toucan’ where we got some yummmy food as I’m Gluten Free and dairy free and there was lots of options for me

We loved the beach and there were lots of places to get a variety of food and drink. We loved the pineapple juice from the beach bar and also the milk shakes and frappe from the ice cream place just as you turn into Dominical from the main road. There was a lovely walk along the river road too.
The hosts are warm and friendly. This was our second stay and we brought our family this time. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. The breakfast with homemade bread! was delicious and very generous. This charming, rustic hotel nestled against a forested hill is delightful. Did l mention the very reasonable prices for a place so close to several nearby beaches. And for someone who enjoys reading at bedtime the bedside lamps were most appreciated.
Absolutely loved this place. You can easily (10 + min) walk to the Dominical beach and vibrant 'town center', allthough it feels very remote/secluded. Great room, good beds and kitchen. Very welcoming host. We visited on our way to Corcovado, it's perfect for a two-night (or longer) stopover to enjoy the nearby beaches. Nice restaurants and bars nearby. You can walk up the river and spot some wildlife as well.
such a great hotel! I stayed in one of the private rooms w an A/C unit and would highly recommend. not sure what the group rooms are like, but everyone staying there was nice and respectful. felt very safe and very very quite during the days and nights! very close to everything- has a laundry service and small cafe right next door and 2 min walk to the beach! would recommend to anyone staying in Dominical.
Tribe Boutique Hotel is a gem amongst the already serene Dominical environment. It's welcoming and loving energy is felt throughout the entire property. Tribe goes above and beyond to provide a comfortable, relaxing, and harmonious communal vibe. Tribe has truly created something special and I will make sure to recommend a stay to anyone and everyone. Thank you for the fantastic experience.
Beautiful quiet location very close to the beach and surrounded by jungle and nature sounds. I really enjoyed the welcoming and easygoing atmosphere with the shared kitchen and the common hang out area, and the friendly cats.
Perfect for solo travellers.
Rooms are simple, but have everything one would need.
It was a perfect end to my stay in Costa Rica, would definitely recommend.
This is a wonderful place to stay on the outskirts of Dominical. The property is gorgeous and all of the facilities (pool, restaurant, etc) are great. The room was perfect - clean and spacious, with a private outdoor seating area. The location is a pleasant 10 min walk from shops, ATM, etc. and 20 min to the beach. Will definitely come again.
so freakin beautiful! clean, quite, and has the best mango/passion fruit juice I’ve ever had!! the bed was very comfortable, the staff was very kind. 10/10 recommend for anyone staying in Dominical. it’s kind of a longish walk from the hotel into town so probably better if you have a car or don’t mind walking like 25 mins to get anywhere.
Proximity to the beach, ensuite bathrooms, ability to do laundry, owner was accessible & responsive to small problems, amazing view and large sitting area outside, the outdoor yoga class located in the facility at the bottom of the hill the property is on. The games (we played Rummikub every night!) Stunning views, especially at dusk!
The view from the lodge is nothing short of stunning and the property is gorgeous. It's also conveniently situated within a short distance from several beautiful (and empty) beaches. Sid and Michaelynn are fantastic hosts: warm, friendly, and hospitable. Breakfast was fresh and delicious - well worth the extra fee. Highly recommended.
The location of the hotel is great and you feel right at home thanks to the very kind owners!
The room is nice and clean. Also the general vibe is very relaxed.
At first the hot water in the shower didn't work but the owner fixed it immediately - so great service.
Close to the beach - the most beautiful sunsets of Costa Rica.
10/10 Hotel. Everything was truly perfect. super spacious rooms, a pool with a view, nicest staff (with the best beach recommendations) and great food. Extra: You can see sensational sunsets with a cocktail right next to the hotel. We stayed there for two nights and enjoyed every second. 1000 % recommendation!
The views and the pools were great! our hosts were fantastic- responding even when recovering from surgery. beautiful location; close to Dominical; easy access to great beaches, boogie boarding, etc. nice to have A/c for upstairs rooms when it was hot.
our second time in this hotel! still a really nice place. it is very well located, just a few minutes walk to the beach and to a great surf spot. the included breakfast was really good!
the pool area is absolutely stunning!
Nice place a few stops away from the beach.
No bugs inside the room and good temperature in the room, even without using AC (that is provided).
Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Overall we had a very nice stay.
