The hotel was so clean, charming, and ideal for our experience! The rooms were gorgeous, the staff was amazing, and the best part was that the cocktails, breakfast, and snacks were something I will be dreaming about for months to come! I can't wait to come back! We don't do yoga but we did surf and the hotel had great/reasonable recommendations for us.

Everything! The reception staff were very welcoming, informative, and helpful. They booked restaurants and excursions for us. They gave us a tour of the facility pointing out all of the amenities we may be interested in. Then they showed us to our rooms. They explained how to use the safe, provided a complimentary stainless steel water bottle, complimentary laundry service, and complimentary breakfast at the wonderful on-site restaurant. Local coffee and organic tea was provided. The entire facility was very clean and tidy. I loved my room. It had a balcony above the pool, at tree canopy height. It was private, quiet. A wonderful place to just sit and enjoy being outside. The bed and bedroom was air-conditioned and very comfortable. The restaurant staff, menu, and food quality were superb! All of the staff were very attentive to our needs, efficient, capable, patient, courteous, friendly, generous, and kind. And it was a short walk to a beautiful beach and glorious sunsets!
I highly recommend Olas Verdes!

The town is very charming with lots of both local, mid range and upscale restaurants. The problem is with the roads. We drove 2 1/2 hours from Playa flamingo down the coast and fully half of that time was on rutted dirt roads. The town itself had ro ases that were worse than rutted with giant potholes sometimes two or 3 feet deep. It made us wish we had a four-wheel-drive which many of the locals drive. They called them quads, which are four wheeled ATVs. We were there in dry season so I can only imagine what happens to the roads in the rainy season. It would not be a pretty sight.

Costa Rica is a very special country, but what I like best of all in Nosara (Guiones/Pelada) are the people. Both Ticos (Costa Ricans) and expats are among the friendliest, most genuinely helpful and generous, and most laid back folks anywhere. And it is the gorgeous natural beauty and tranquility of this place that must be the cause.

Nosara is a small town and the area is not very developed.
Nosara is a small town and the area is not very developed. Driving was somewhat terrifying (more so than the zip lining, to be sure). The nature there is beautiful and preserved. I would recommend staying at a nice resort if you want to go there. There are several and this would have made our experience much better. Since we had a kitchen, we used the grocery store often. It had great products, but was not air conditioned.

Nosara is definitely a place to go if you like surfing.
Nosara is definitely a place to go if you like surfing. There are a variety of waves for all types of surfers and the beach is HUGE so there is a ton of room for all surfers. The water is warm and you can body surf, boogie board as well...you really want to be "into the ocean" to be in Nosara...we took beach cruisers from one to the other on the beach since the sand is compacted...that was a lot of fun...and a beautiful ride. People are GREAT in Nosara....we will return.

Nosara is a gorgeous little village by the beach, but it is fast changing. It is very now americanised, lots of new expensive houses are being built. Restaurants and bars are good, but more expensive than everywhere we have been in CR. Most shops, hotels bars and restaurants charge in $ (although you can pay cash in Colones).
I enjoyed Nosara, the Guiones Beach is gorgeous especially at sunset, but I did not feel like I was in CR. I think Samara would have been more what I was looking for.

More expensive than the average Costa Rican town, has been developing massively in the past few years, the road access is as poor as always though. Beaches are fantastic, restaurant options are amazing (this wasn’t the case a few years ago). The Nomadic Hotel a gem.
Beautiful facilites. The pool area is very good and so is the yoga pad. You get free yoga lessons every day and you can also use the space to do your own workouts. Lots of space to relax. Staff is very helpful.
The dorm is expensive but at least you know the type of people staying there won’t be the usual 21 and under who can be noisy and inconsiderate. Everyone in the dorm was over 30, and genuinely in Nosara for the experience (surf and yoga) - waking up early and going to bed early.
It’s a beautiful hotel, architecturally speaking!
This hotel was perfect for my family of 4. The residences are incredibly well appointed and spacious with a full kitchen, dining area and outdoor terrace. We selected the Tropical Garden Grand Residence which has its own private cold plunge, sauna and outdoor shower. The rooftop terrace and pool is a dream and the kids especially loved the breakfasts and activities. All steps from perfect beach and surf. Already booked my return over the Holidays. Thanks Silvestre for an amazing trip :)
The accommodation was perfect. We loved the pool and the chilled atmosphere. Our hosts, Lisa and Luca, were attentive when they needed to be but also left us alone too - perfect. The food was superb, we loved the breakfasts with a local twist and had a superb and very memorable Christmas dinner under the stars. Our whole stay was impossible to fault. The photos are very accurate but don’t do the hotel justice, the reality is SO much better.
We have two adjoining rooms for our stay at the Living Hotel, which was perfect for our family of 4. The rooms were simple, yet comfortable, clean and pretty with a lovely porch to sit on. The a/c and ceiling fans worked great. The hotel itself is charming with lovely gardens and a clean and well-kept pool. There's also a smoothie bar on the premises that offers delicious acai bowls (extra charge). We highly recommend it.
It is one of the nicest hotels in Nosara, characterized by its cleanliness, excellent atmosphere and the super friendly treatment of all its staff. The plants and in general the natural environment around the pool makes it easy for the guest to feel in an excellent atmosphere. It is a very quiet hotel and also very close to the sea and several restaurants. For us it will always be the first option if we return to Nosara.
Staff were amazing! The owner was very helpful, kind, and funny. Rooms were clean and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Beautiful jungle environment with an organic farm. The pool has an incredible view and there are tons of activities for guests to participate. Playa Guiones is close by for surfing, swimming, and relaxing. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend to anyone.
I’ve stayed at pretty much every Selina in the country and this is by far the best experience I’ve had. The customer service was beyond good. The facilities were incredible. Eddy from front desk was very nice. The guys from the bar always with the best attitude. Great service. I had a great time and they will definitely see me again as I’ll be going back to Selina Nosara.
Beautiful small hotel carved in the mountain with a magnificent view of the jungle and the sea.
Very tasty breakfast.
Lovely swimming pool.
Loved that they have beers, wine and soft drinks for guest to get and just write it to pay at the end. Very handy.
But the best is the owners. They are super friendly, helpful and make you feel at home.
We loved it.
The staff were exceptionally friendly everywhere we went in the hotel, and at the Surf Club. We loved our room, it was a double queen with a large balcony overlooking the pool area. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the bathroom was beautiful and well planned, and both the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean.
Villa Mango was my favorite place to stay in Costa Rica! the location is tucked away and I felt like I was in my own private paradise with the pool, the room I slept in, and view of the sea. such a treasure! Jo and Agnes are truly delightful. Communal breakfast at the big table each morning was a highlight.
Nice chill quiet spot, close to beach & Bohdi tree for yoga. Car or motorcycle recommended to get into town but it is walkable if you don’t mind longer walks Breakfast included and they have a nice pool with lounge chairs and a yoga platform… not fancy but great little budget hotel in Nosara area
Room was clean and spacious
Not luxury but that’s reflected in price compared to other nosara hotels
Shower was hot and had great pressure
Breakfast was simple and nice
I’m sure in wet season you need a 4x4 but in dryer months you are fine in a normal car
I liked the general atmosphere, responsiveness to WhatsApp messages, and the friendliness of the staff. I traveled to Costa Rica for my birthday and it was so sweet for the manager, Juan, to give me a birthday treat the morning of my birthday!
Norte pool area across the street was lovely and comfortable with limited hours. Naked cafe breakfast was healthy. Private sitting area at surf shack. Small kitchen had the basics. Easy walk to most of Playa Guiones. Howler monkeys visited.
Hotel Guiones blends a beautiful mix of the natural world combined with amenities and a sense of luxury. The staff was exceptional—attentive to every need.
