oh wow. I fell in love with Dumaguete. It is a bustling city indeed, to my surprise and still have the provincial charm or the small town charm that will make your stay worthwhile, I have enjoyed my walking around the city and the spots on next town, Valencia. I am for sure be coming back to cheack out some more places I miss to visit.

It would be nice to have stanchion signs at the entrance of the hallways asking people to be quiet as they go down the hallway so others sleeping will not be disturbed. Also, if the guard on duty hears hallway noise, they should try to correct the situation.

A traffic light/stop sign would be amazing in Dumaguete.
A traffic light/stop sign would be amazing in Dumaguete. It's a busy place and when driving you have to have your head on a swivel. Head over to Lee's Market, where you can shop forever. The plaza on the water is amazing at night...Sunday nights are off the hook...food stands, music, karate competition...bustling with positive energy.
If you want the finest fish in the world, head over to the wet market, where you can score pretty much anything you need to satisfy your seafood needs.
Other than that? Dumaguete should only be visited if you have business.
The service was incredible. From pickup to check-out! They picked us up from the airport and served chilled bottle of water which was amazing in a very hot day. In the hotel, they served us cold drinks and cold towel. Then while waiting for check-in they have restaurants that serve brunch. Room was clean and comfortable, very restful! And upon check-out, they arranged transportation to bring us to the ferry. Our trip to Dumaguete was with ease and comfort because of Hotel Dumaguete. 7/5 stars!!!!
I stayed at E&R airport hotel just for one night before my flight going back to Manila. It is just walking distance from the airport which is good if you have an early flight and don’t want to get stuck in traffic if you are coming from city center. The rooms are all brand-new and clean! I had the best sleep here after a long day from Apo island. They also serve a nice complimentary breakfast which is fair enough for it’s price.
I like the location because it is near a grocery mall where you can buy the things that you need for your trip in the city. Also you can find good and delicious foods just outside the building itself. There is also a pharmacy in the building and across the building. My children love the room because there is a bunkbed and we feel very comfortable. The room and bathroom is clean and nice.
The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, provided us with lots of information regarding our stay and also with getting around the city and to the port, the room was cool and clean, and the shared bathroom was very nice to use.
We chose to stay a little bit outside of the city centre so it was nice and quiet but still with plenty of shops and food close by.
Value for money! In this day and age money is very important. BE SMART! Dont pay for overpriced hotels that offer the same basic service. This is simplicity at its finest. Good rooms, aircon, service with a smile and that all comfy bed to sink into after a long flight. At the end of the day, we all experience sleep, you'll sleep sounder with financial peace of mind.
We loved Antwet Backapacker Hostel, the rooms are clean, the people working there are so nice and give you a lot of tips to discover the city and beyond. The rooftop is great to discuss with people, to drink a beer or to eat for dinner. It is well located for the city center and the port. All of that for a very cheap price. Wonderful !
A very nice place to stay in Dumaguete in a quiet location away from the noise of the city. I had access to the kitchen area where I was offered free coffee and breakfast. If you need to catch a ferry or flight - the owner will drop you off for a small fee. The accomodation was clean and comfortable.
My Mother was happy again on this hotel during her medical check ups there in dumaguete city. Thanks, Henia hotel for being so accommodating to my Mother and sisters. The process of booking thru Booking.com in your Hotel is so convenient. You guys really have a good management. Thanks again.
it’s clean and comfortable and the owner have extended extra care for us as we were stranded in the city before reaching our final destination due to the strong typhoon Odette that hit Philippines recently, really appreciated it!
Good job to the front desk Crisvelyn! We were there in time of the onslaught of the Typhoon Rai. She did what she could to appease us not having electricity. She is very accommodating and makes you feel valued. Salamat!
Our second, and not the last stay in this nice and enjoyable place with small sauna, gym and pool. You nred a scooter or car to travel comfortably between the hotel and city centre.
The room is very spacious! really clean! and the staff is really accommodating! loved the place! thank you so much! we'll be back to this hotel once we're here in Dumaguete! ❤️
Probably the best location if you want to explore Dumaguete. Near to everything :) just in front of Cafe Racer. They even have a parking space for 1 car or (2) motorcycles
Perfect location, close to the port and city center. Ideal for a flight or port transfer. Beds were comfortable, breakfast of very good quality. We liked it!
