Location is great, right next to the train station but an easy walk into the Old Town. The staff was great, particularly Mateas. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms quite fancy, and best of all, each room had its own secure wifi password. I'd stay there again in a minute.

Almost nothing. The breakfast wasn't bad, the room was clean, but I guess that's about it.
Location? Overall the location should be excellent, on the island and in the center. In fact, much depends on the footbridge connecting the island to the city. It so happened that many times we had to walk or drive around because the footbridge was raised. Neither in the hotel nor nearby there is any information about this.

Called the Amber Capital of the World, Gdańsk is the major shipping seaport and the most beautiful city along the Polish Baltic coast. It has everything from fascinating history and great architecture to a friendly atmosphere!
Also known as Danzig due to its complex past with periods of Polish, German and self-rule, the city is part of the Tricity urban area together with the port city of Gdynia and the popular spa town Sopot. It’s also a birthplace of the world-famous Solidarity movement, which helped to bring down Communist rule in Poland, initiating the end of the Cold War era.
Its charming buildings were rebuilt in a historical style after the city's near-complete destruction during World War II. You can admire the colorful townhouses of the Old Town by boat on the Motlawa River or by strolling down the popular Long Street and Long Market.
While in Gdańsk, make sure you visit the 15th-century St. Mary’s Church, the largest brick church in Europe, and make a wish at the Neptune Fountain, the city’s patron. While in town, try the legendary local Goldwasser liqueur with 22 karat gold flakes!

There is not enough space to say all I want to here.
There is not enough space to say all I want to here. I love Gdansk and everything about it, and if you haven't been there, then WHY ON EARTH NOT?
Go there at once and DON'T just stick to the old town and Dluga street. These are really good, and I love them too (as I do everything). But there is so much more. Day trips galore, great parks, excellent walking, a huge variety of restaurants and cafes, the river, the many miles of wonderful smooth sandy beaches (and the water is NOT always so cold as you might think!)
Gdansk old town for architecture and history.
Gdansk Wrzeszcz for restaurants and cafes.
Gdansk Oliwa for the fabulous Park Oliwskie.
Sopot and Gdynia for additional fun!
Getting around couldn't be easier with trams and buses galore. Using Google Maps to help you, you'll be able to get everywhere.
OMG I totally LOVE THIS PLACE, and every time spent there is full of great things!

The city is very well structured and therefore it's almost impossible to get lost. The architecture is stunning - a mixture of Dutch and German styles gives it a unique look. Walking by the riverside is a beautiful experience, also the beach is not far, about 25 minutes by tram. Many great restaurants offer a wide variety of cuisines to satisfy everyone.

If you hold with the truth that there is no time like the past, then you cannot fail to like it. The Old Town is fascinating. For the first time in a long while, I was time travelling again. Not easy to find a restaurant which is vegetarian-friendly, but worth looking through the windows, first floor elevated or into the basement, at interiors that remind me of the years before WWII. I dined at Liberum, which is competitively priced and comfortable, and then stopped for a pint at a whacky vintage bar called, in English, 'Wardrobe'. I was in transit, so only in Gdansk for one night, but you'd be hard pushed to experience everything exhaustively even if you had a week at your disposal. If you don't go, you won't know!

There are loads of places to see and most people speak English. When booking the accommodation the pictures and views were of the river and in the centre of Old Town but when we arrived we were further out and really had only views of other apartment blocks.

A fairytale city! We moved on foot but also by trams.
A fairytale city! We moved on foot but also by trams. Tickets can be purchased from the kiosks located in the passing tunnels. The center is superb, you can visit King Arthur's Court, St. Mary's Basilica, the Amber Museum, the Golden Gate.
It was quite cold in April, I recommend thicker clothes for Poland regardless of the season and good shoes because there is cubic stone everywhere.
There are many souvenir shops, restaurants, bridges over the water, the port...etc
The food is good and a bit expensive compared to Romania.
On the next visit I would stay longer, there are many places to visit. I also recommend the resort of Sopot, a maximum of 30 minutes by train for the beach and the Baltic Sea.

Gdansk is a small beautiful city.
Gdansk is a small beautiful city. Affordable flight, accommodation and food. The old town was nice, we stayed there to have a river view which was amazing. The promenade by the river has various restaurants to choose from. There was also a food court nearby and it was cheap and big food portions for its price. Mall is also close by and everything is just walking distance.
- the best hostess! Bozena gave us a warm welcome to Poland and was positive and helpful.
- gorgeous apartment
- all the little details taken care of
- spotlessly clean
- generous hospitality
- powerful, hot shower
- cosy beds with extra blankets
- lots of storage space
- rapid and helpful communication, very fast check in
- lovely bistro opposite
- super location
- near cash points and taxi rank
- Bozena is the loveliest person and responds quickly to queries and questions
- without a doubt my number 1 choice of places to stay in Gdańsk
Location Location Location! it’s perfect! You are right on Dlugi Targ (Long Street), in the Old Town! The room was great, on the smaller side though but immaculate! it was spotless! Complementary bottled water, coffee and tea in the room and the hotel also gives you complementary coffee and tea thoughtout the day in the lobby! The breakfast is fantastic, so much variety! The front desk staff, was great! Amicable and efficient. I am already planning to come back to Gdańsk, and I am sure will stay at the Fama again! it was really good!
The hotel is not far from the old town, about 20 minutes by feet. It gives you possibility to see another Gdansk, not so innovated but mysterious sometimes.
It was perfectly clean room. And it was very pleasant to find 2 bottles of water in the room. I didn't remember water was incuded in the offer.
The hotel territory is very interesting at all and borders with the old looking catholic church from one side. It was visible from the room window that was unusual.
Amazing apartment near to the city centre. Great option if you travel by car as the accomodation has private parking spot in underground garage. The ap. is very well equiped and the host is also very helpful. City centre is merely 5 min by walk.
There is only one drawback - the street in front of the ap. can be sometimes louder (especially during nights - party people)
But overall one of the best accomodation we had in Poland!
The location of the hotel in the heart of the old town is perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly Jakub who also makes the best Mai Tai cocktails I have ever had. Lovely clean and spacious rooms with very comfy beds and pillows. The hotel in general has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and smells really good. Visited mid December and the Christmas tree in the foyer was beautiful addition.
Everything! Very friendly, clean and comfortable boutique hotel. Loved the very central location, but with good soundproofing from the street below. Great to have the choice of open windows or air conditioning. The breakfast buffet choice was incredible - right up until 11am. The staff were all so friendly, efficient and helpful. It was a great introduction to Poland and we would love to return.
The location: The world war 2 museum is one of my favourite buildings, just to look at, and was about a 2 minute walk. 5 minute walk to the train station (which is the best and cheapest way to get to Sopot and Gdynia). 10 minute walk to the old town.
The apartment was fully equipped (iron and small board, hairdryer, fridge, washing machine etc.)
Plenty of electric sockets.
Breakfasts in Scandic hotels are great. They were until 11, which is good for me as do not wake up early. Hotel stuff were very helpful in all our requests, thank you guys!
Location is good, parking near the hotel is convenient and pretty cheap. Getting to old town is quick and easy, route goes through nice parks and sight spots.
The room view to the station was top notch!
The room was nice, well lit and spacious. Everything was very clean, including the bathroom. The hotel is only a few steps away from the old town and the main tourist attractions, but at the same time it's located in relatively quiet area (except for church bells in the morning). There's also a small grocery store just around the corner.
Brand new hotel, as I love em to be. All brand new, fresh, extremely stylish, great modern design. Room regular plus size for Poland. Absolutely fantastic thing - toilet and shower separated. That's about first hotel I encountered like that. Massive plus. Location perfect, by the train station, airport route, easy access to anywhere.
To my money this is a great hotel nicely located close to both central railway station and old town. It’s clean, cozy, there’s AC in the room, a small fridge and a tv set. The reception lady was extremely lovely and helpful. I liked the breakfast, I ordered an omelette and it was freshly made and tasty.
Modern and new hotel in the heart of the Old Town. You are at the epicentre of all the things to see and do. We stayed in a suite overlooking part of the marina. Hotel is deceptively large. We borrowed one of the hotel bikes and cycled to Sopot during one of the days we stayed. Highly recommend.
Very good location near old town. You have your own privacy, you don't hear other neighbour's. A spacious apartment. The best hairdryer ever found in renter place. It was quite easy to find free parking place on the street (just don't leave under lamp post as mentioned above).
The location is great, nearby the main streets of Old town. The hotel has a SPA with limited access, thus, not too many people visiting at the same time and facilities are nice. Comfortable for a short stay, quiet rooms with everything you might need.
very nice location, 5min to the old town, 5min to railway station but quiet.
clean, more to the hotel experience than apartment rent.
Coffee machine, enough place to work, comfortable sofa to rest in the middle of the day.
The breakfast was the best out of the three hotels I stayed in while in Poland. The location was close to many attractions, and it was walkable to the train station. Staff was friendly and helpful. Super cute overall.
Love the hotel. It's beautiful with a bit of an old town touch.
Single room was very spacious and heating is brilliant.
Food is brilliant, staffs brilliant, hotel rooms, everything is perfect.
The hotel is great . Perfect location, great staff .. breakfast is lovely .. pool and sauna all when you choose ... poland is a great break away beautiful old town lots to do ..
