Very interesting sitting perched on top of the mountains.
Very interesting sitting perched on top of the mountains. Very gothic city including the Basilica and all the antennas on the top. Quite an unusual vibe in the city. Cooler weather than most cities in the area. Beautiful surroundings.

Manizales is an amazing city - it is very safe, clean and beautiful scenery. It is one of the safest cities I have traveled to in the world, without feeling nervous at anytime. I feel safer in Manizales than many cities in the United States and Europe. Definitely the safest city in Latin America and I have travelled to virtually every country in LATAM with the exception of the Guyanas.

Manizales is a nice small city.
Manizales is a nice small city. The people are genuinely friendly and honest . I have no data on my phone and they went out of their way to help me. Many times ensuring I got to my address and even walked me there.
I asked a lot for directions and in my 6 months travelling Colombia without data , the people were and are exceptional.

Many green hills and much beautiful nature; forests, flowers, birds, scenery.
Friendly people. Close to national park Nevada del Ruiz (ca. 1hour) and several thermal pools (from 15 min. up). A Cable car.
Must have some physical ability to walk many steep streets if you consider walking outside of the main street of the city center.
Has a gastronomic area (G-zone) with many restaurants of all kinds of (international & local) food.

Manizales is not a nice town.
Manizales is not a nice town. I mean it has some modern and nice buildings in the center but most of the buildings in the city were not nice and the whole city looked poor and neglected. If you go with a private car, be aware that on some days traffic is prohibited depending on the number of the car. So a good solution is to go to the nearby town of Villa Maria and take the cable car to the center of Manizales. The town has a wonderful church and a very beautiful square dedicated to Simon Bolivar. If you want to stay there, choose the "Estelar Recinto Del Pensamiento Hotel Y Centro De Convenciones" hotel which is out of the city, it isn't expensive and it's located in an eco-park But it's (a bit)
far away from the center of the town.

The Cable area of Manizales is the place to stay, Centro of the city is noisy and lots of traffic. The entire city is CLEAN! People are friendly.
Surprisingly food is typically not served with any spice or sauce, you always need to ask for salt or pepper. #1 value in Manizales = Bretton Restaurant near the stadium. World Class food and view, 14th floor.
Staff were very friendly and caring. Breakfast, lunch and dinner food options were fab and we were well looked after. The location is a spot outside Manizales, away from the chaos and on the mountain side in the jungle. The bungalow was a perfect treat. Very relaxing to chill on
the veranda in our hammocks. Lovely bathroom with the best shower, inc hot water! There are a couple of short trails through the forest and a beautiful garden to explore during the stay as well.
I think this hostel was the best hostel I've ever stayed at! The staff is supernice and helpful, the common areas are extremely spacious, comfy and welcoming. The room was also amazing. The beds are 1,20m wide, there is a locker for every bed and every room is assigned to one bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped and breakfast is included and super delicious!! I'm actually trying to find a reason to go back to Manizales so I can stay in this hostel again. :)
Very nice Finca with beautiful garden and view. The garden has a lot of flowers and fruits, some coffee trees and you can watch many birds.
Majid is a very nice host. The vegeterian Breakfast and dinner are really good (dinner for extra charge available).
The city Manizales is very close and can be reached easily by bus (city center => between terminal and city center you can use the cable car)
Small fitness room with everything you need.
This hotel was the perfect place for us. Julianna was exceptionally helpful to us throughout our stay, she even contacted the lady where we were staying when we left Manizales. She also spoke to the bus driver in Bogota bus station, on our behalf, which saved us a two hour wait, she did this even though we had left the hotel. We are most grateful for her time and advice. I would certainly stay here again if in Manizales.
Overall an excellent experience at the Quo Quality Hotel where we stayed for 2 and then another 7 nights. Spacious modern rooms, comfortable beds, very friendly staff, good breakfast for Colombian standards, great roof terrace, nearby shops and shopping center in the Palermo barrio. This hotel is our favourite in the city of Manizales. We will certainly be back.
Clean and spacious rooms(well ventilated). Close to everything. Very accomodating staff, special mention to ALEJANDRA who help me get another hotel for my second night; she really did not stop calling nearby hotels, it was Manizales' foundation week long celebration so hotels were fully book.
Excellent attention is provided by the entire staff at this family owned and operated hotel. Juliana ensures that all of your travel needs are met with a personal interest in your satisfaction.
The coffee shop on the top floor as well as the attached restaurant are excellent.
Friendly staff, awesome view, fantastic breakfast! The location of the hotel is good in the middle between the center and the cable. Easy to reach and offered free parking, gym, sauna, and medical services in case of an emergency.
Friendly staff (in the hotel itself)
There was no table in the room initially, but there weren't people in the hotel and they allowed me to take one of the common-area tables
Room has decent size, not tiny
There are comfortable cabins with lush greenery around, the breakfast is decent and Majid is there to help with questions and suggestions for Manizales. The room got cleaned every other day.
Location and Food were fantastic. Hotel was extremely clean and COVID protocols were strictly followed by all personnel and guest of the hotel. Very peaceful neighborhood.
The breakfast was good. The area around the hotel was ok with a few restaurant options nearby. It is a considerable distance from the downtown area of the city.
Very welcoming lady always available for anything we needed.
Very nice room with view on Manizales.
