If your disabled in a wheelchair i would think twice Koh samui like most places in Thailand lack full use of pavements, it's safer to walk on the road. Most Thai people are great and the young teens will respect you as you respect them. Chaweng is a quiet, clean family beach. But if someone is looking for some water sports the facilities may be limited. There are a number of massage parlours in the area. So after a good time in the beach one can relax and rejuvenate for the next day. There are a variety of restaurants offering different cuisines. Cheweng is extremely busy, very loud, traffic non stop, walking difficult as pavements very small and uneven and the road too busy to walk on. Prices for food and drink expensive for Thailand. There is however plenty of choice for eating and drinking and for people who want a full on party experience type holiday they certainly won't be disappointed! Beach was very nice however often it wasn't there due to high tides.

Chaweng is a bustling town with some fantastic restaurants offering the most fresh and beautifully presented Thai, and other nationality food you you could want. We stayed 14 nights and ate somewhere and something different each night - all cheaper than McDonalds! The staff are incredibly nice, welcoming and willing to assist with any need. Their response to our on-line inquiries were the fastest I've ever seen. The location is quite good, few minutes walk from the heart of the Chaweng. Access to the beach is directly from the pool area.

The location is also walking distance to the main restaurants and busier part of Chaweng. The pool area and restaurant are also great to round out the package.
