After a 13hr drive with a 5 year old and 2 dogs, this was truly welcome respite for the 2 nights we spent there. Cool in the midst of some significant heat, tidy and clean and with all the comforts we hoped for, it was a lovely refuge from which to acclimatise and explore before we headed further north.

I love the location, I felt safe and the views are amazing. I love the touch of board games, even though we did not have enough time to use them as we were passing through. The owners of Ali apartment has thought of every part of what makes a perfect stay. I found out later that my friend stayed at the exact same place. Grateful and amazing 😍

On top of one of the highest hills in Coober Pedy, and at the end of a no through road, was Ali’s Underground Home. If the 270 degree view of the town and surrounding plains were not enough, as soon as we walked into the Home, we immediately felt blessed this was going to be our home for two nights. Ali has thought of everything and left no stone unturned to make sure guests are well catered for. From the kitchen appliances (including an Air Fryer) and all the plates, glasses and utensils you would need, to a huge smart TV, games and books in the lounge, to washing powder and pegs in the laundry, and comfy beds in very unique bedrooms …. you really couldn’t ask for more. It was very easy to see how much Ali cares not only about her Home, but also the experience for guests. While it may be a while before I get to Coober Pedy again, one thing for sure - I wouldn’t stay anywhere else other than Ali’s!! Thank you Ali.

Very comfortable apartment. While it was cold outside, the apartment stayed warm very well even without the A/C and the A/C worked well. It had everything we needed and well designed/comfortable. It was a stones throw from the IGA. Great host who emailed us the door code right away. Highly Recommended.
