Hikkaduwa beach and Turtle beach, both with quiet sea without high waves good for snorkling, only few minutes with tuk-tuk.

An amazing quiet place with lots of beautiful birds around. You can watch them taking their bath every afternoon. The owner was so kind and helpful. The beach was reachable by 10 -15 min walk. I would definitely come back again . You will enjoy this place a lot if you like the nature.

Susanna and Tusharo (please excuse me if I’m misspelling the names :) were wonderful hosts. Welcoming and informative. It really felt like our own house. Spotless clean, equipped with everything a traveler needs, beautiful nature around, a garden well kept. Another great thing is the hosts really care about animals and Tusharo shared fascinating information about the connection local people share with the sea turtles (we got lucky and swam with them). The beach has some great surf. Would love to come back and stay more.

I liked most the warmth of the family running the property, such nice people that you dont want to leave them. Food was just so delicious. This is home made food not restaurant. The ocean is just by the property.

In February 2024 we (2 adult and 3y.o. kid) had an awesome time staying at The Ritz villa. The host family is super nice and accommodating. They helped us with transfer booking and laundry. Overall the room was super clean and quite modern and they cleaned it and changed bed every 3-4 days and the territory was cleaned several times a day. In the room was everything that could be needed except just small fridge, but I believe it's the matter of time, because as I understood from the reviews last summer there was no pool - which is also great and served us a lot during our stay there. There was just a big fridge in the "lobby" for all the guests to keep their products. There is also small kitchen that guest can use, but we didn't as there are a lot of good and not expensive spots around. Location of the villa is very convenient - just 5 mins to the beach and there is a railway which surprisingly didn't disturb like we expected. If you are in search of cozy, quite, clean and family stay, look no more further!

I cannot recommend this place enough! I had such a great stay here. The property is beautiful: the rooms are cute, comfortable, and clean. The staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is delicious and included tea or coffee, fresh juice, yogurt, fresh fruit, eggs your way, and toast with butter and jam. The pool is clean and, somehow, despite the heat, the water remains refreshing. The location is in a quiet place (aside from a train track but the trains only last a few seconds and did not affect my stay at all), yet near to restaurants and bars and salons and tour agencies and souvenir shops. Amazing place! Would definitely stay again!

The room was enormous and way more comfortable than other places I stayed for the same price in Sri Lanka. The location is good. It's just off the main road but away from the noise. The owner was very helpful and accommodating, letting me store my luggage all day once I checked out and giving lots of tips about good restaurants.
