Set on a farm 8 km from Grundarfjördur, this modern guest house offers a 9-hole golf course, plus free Wi-Fi and parking. Snæfellsjökull National Park is 40 minutes’ drive away. We enjoyed our stay here, the location is perfect as a base for exploring the peninsula. Rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast was good. Would recommend.

Marbakki was a very beautiful, secluded property. My family and I loved the design of the house - it was very cozy and made us feel right at home. The villa had a lot of great touches including a well stocked kitchen (various spices, coffee pods, etc.) and yoga mats. The rooms were small, but the beds were very comfortable. Although there is only one bathroom, it was spacious and very clean. The outside deck overlooking the ocean and the hot tub were amazing. We enjoyed sitting and relaxing in the hot tub while taking in the ocean and mountain views. I highly recommend taking an evening or morning walk on the beach! Our family really enjoyed this villa and we will keep it on our list for future Iceland trips!

Located in Ólafsvík in the West Iceland region, Grund in Ólafsvík has a garden. The property features sea and mountain views. Everything was perfect. It was clean, the appartment was perfectly equipped, couldn't be better, and self check-in worked well. Highly recommended.

This family run guesthouse sits scenically on the Snæfellsnes peninsula on Iceland’s western coast, and features views of the surrounding nature from all rooms, as well as free Wi-Fi. Great communication, they upgraded our room for free because it was available. Everything was very well explained and offered us paid all you can eat dinner - OMG it was delicious and totally worth for money. Breakfast was also more than tasty. Variety of food types and very nice service. Everything was clean, prepared and no problems during check in or out. Whole hotel is in a great place to relax, close to the ocean, if conditions are good, than it is a great place for the Northern light. Just 5min by car is the Ytri Tunga beach, so you can go soon in the morning watch the seals there. In our opinion this was one of the best stay in Iceland due to our 3 trips. Thanks to all team! We are pretty sure, that we will be back one day.

Set in the quiet countryside of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, this family-run guest house is 45 minutes’ drive from Stykkishólmur town centre. Larger guesthouse with onsite restaurant. We stayed in a quadruple room with private bathroom. Room was large and clean with electric kettle in room. Included breakfast was good and a nice way to start the day.
