The pousada is incredibly welcoming. The structure is very nice, with almost all the rooms facing the delightful internal garden. The view outside is also pleasant. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. But the real strength of the pousada is the staff. The owner is exceptionally kind and is also very chatty and nice. She doesn't speak English but we understood each other perfectly using Google Translate. A special note of merit for the breakfast: vast choice, delicious food that is served in the garden by a also very kind lady. Highly recommended!!

The hospitality of Ney and its family is unmatched: I really felt at home and they treated me like a family member. I went on a 3 day trek and Ney offered to keep my stuff at his place, so I didn’t have to carry any unnecessary item with me. The bed is super comfy and the room cozy. Breakfast is prepared fresh every day by Ney and it’s delicious. I’ll be back for sure!

They also gave me a private room for the night (I had booked a dorm) so I wouldn’t disrupt the other guests, which was so appreciated and nice that they were thinking of others. All staff members were so helpful, even walking me to the lavanderia and helping with translation! The hostel is in a great location, you can’t beat it.
