The pousada is incredibly welcoming. The structure is very nice, with almost all the rooms facing the delightful internal garden. The view outside is also pleasant. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. But the real strength of the pousada is the staff. The owner is exceptionally kind and is also very chatty and nice. She doesn't speak English but we understood each other perfectly using Google Translate. A special note of merit for the breakfast: vast choice, delicious food that is served in the garden by a also very kind lady. Highly recommended!!

The whole family is absolutely wonderful, really nice people, ready to help as much as they can. The room is simple but comfortable. Wifi is ok for casual browsing, but not good enough for conference calls - digital nomads beware! The house is a bit far from the center, but that was not a problem for me. And absolutely, I confirm Nei’s breakfast is AMAZING!

Breakfast was great and changed every day. There were always some vegetarian options and you could order fresh tapiocas, cuscus or eggs. The hotel is close to the city center, on a hill with a gentle slope and a minimarket nearby. Despite being close to the center, the hotel itself is very quiet. Our room had a silent AC and we haven't heard any other guests at night.

They also gave me a private room for the night (I had booked a dorm) so I wouldn’t disrupt the other guests, which was so appreciated and nice that they were thinking of others. All staff members were so helpful, even walking me to the lavanderia and helping with translation! The hostel is in a great location, you can’t beat it. Price is also so cheap for the service I received.AmandaSolo traveler
