Everything was fantastic, the location inside the Biosphere Nature Reserve and the Quetzals. The kitchen was very nice, beds were comfortable and the walk to the waterfall was lovely.

Our expectations were quite high, and the reality was even better! The lodge is perfectly located and spread in the middle of cloud forest. You get your private villa, each has its own privacy and fabulous views through the ceiling-to-floor windows. Yes, it is a bit of walk from the reception area, but that is the main magic there - the seclusion and privacy. I read here lots of negative reviews about the black bathrooms. I don’t understand why it is issue for you? And off course you are in the middle of a cloud forest where the humidity reaches 100%. I am sure that the staff is doing their best, but sometimes a bit of mould can appear (we did not notice it, but again it was mentioned in a review before). All facilities in the bathroom worked perfectly including hot water, so we had no problems. We very much appreciated that this resort is doing maximum to be eco friendly. They have their own special concept. You should take it as a Eco-lodge rather than classic resort. They also provide really great conditioner which helped a lot with my sun-damaged hair :-) Breakfast is a la carte and is very tasty. One morning we even ordered 1 extra portion and resort did not charge us for it. The onsite restaurant is opened for lunch and dinner (we didn’t try it). Within few minutes walk from the resort, there are 2 local restaurants + minimarket. Miriam’s restaurant is a must! We booked both arrival and departure transfers via Dantica and both worked perfectly. Driver was ontime and journey was smooth. We also booked the Quetzal tour via Dantica and it was well organized (for us, it was a bit of mass tourism, around 30 people chasing 4 quetzal birds, but we would never see these beautiful birds without the guide, so it was worth it). Every member of the staff were very nice to us and helpful, it was a real pleasure to stay there. It is one of a kind experience. Don’t hesitate to book this wonderful place.

Tato celá oblast je krásná a ubytování trochu dražší, toto ubytování bylo jedno z těch levnejsich. Prostředí kolem chaty je krasne. Majitele mají i restauraci, kde se podávají snídaně (typické kostaricke) a ty jsou chutné. U restaurace je terasa s krmitky, kde lita spousta ptáků, kteří se tam daji fotit. V restauraci jsme zkusili jednou i veceri a ta byla dost podprůměrna a na to, co jsme dostali naservirovano, tak i neuvěřitelně předražena.

Oddelene loznicky, lze i teplou vodu ve sprse, velice ochotni poskytovatele, ukazali nam moznosti trailu k vodopadum i kde videt slavne ptactvo. Naprosto jedinecny vyhled primo z loznic. Chlad, ve kterem se konevne clovek vyspi a spousta nahradnich dek, kdyby se nekdo nemohl zahrat. Uzasny zazitek. Take jsme si za mensi poplatek nechali u pani domaci vyprat a i vysusit pradlo, coz se pro dalsi cestovani hodilo.

Great location and mountain view. One road takes you down to the river and other restaurant. Nice terrace with lots of varieties of birds. Country like atmosphere.

We loved the scenic view, the cool night air with twinkling stars, the shower with a view, the nice hammock chair, waterfall trail, flowers, birds and restaurant that served the best trout dinner we have ever had! The shower has hot water, which is a rarity in Costa Rica. William was also very helpful with tour information. We want to go back and swim under the waterfalls!
