Beautiful, quiet location near the lake: perfect for waking up early to go for a swim first thing in the morning. After that, we were delighted by the fantastic breakfast, which offered a wide selection including freshly baked croissants, cold meats, fruits, cheeses and local honey and jams. The château itself was lovely, with fun historic vibes and nice grounds perfect for families. It was very peaceful there at night - there was a fountain out the front that provided a very nice ambience. The staff were all very kind. For animal lovers there were horses, cats, dogs and even a goat kept on the grounds. The rooms were equipped with everything we needed (kettle, microwave and mini-fridge were a huge bonus). A big thank you to the staff at Château de Chanteraine for a wonderful stay!

We came off season so the restaurants in the village were not open. Gabrielle Hotel let us heat up some food from the epicerie in their kitchen which was kind.

Above all the location is unbeatable, close to the lake by foot and close to the important cute villages and touristic venues. The personal service, kindness and recommendations at the reception were useful and made our stay more unique and efficient. Even though we had booked a tent we got a cottage for only a small amount more which was for the best since there was heavy rain during the night. The personal was always at our service and the facilities were really good value for the cost. I can only recommend this!

Very comfortable and private rooms; with small kitchens and private outdoor patios. The petanque course & swimming pool etc were lovely additions. It felt like our own little oasis; even though the B&B was fully booked when we stayed. The owners have thought of all the convenient touches.
