Fantastic place, it really gives you the feeling of being at home. The cafe serves the best coffee we tried in Japan, there is a large room for kids to play and a living room to watch movie on a big screen. There is also a washer and a drier that is super helpful. The Japanese style bath is very relaxing after a day outside. Our room was very large and comfortable. The owner is super friendly and hospitable, we definitely recommend this place! The lake is about 10 minutes walk on a very pleasant road.

What I liked about the property was how comfortable I was able to be and how warm and welcoming the staff were. This place is very special and dear to me because not only was the location great but the staff were so accommodating and this place had so much charm to it. The facilities were great as well super clean and sanitary beds were great and I felt very safe here. The best part was having coffee and chatting with the owners Keisuke and Marino. Great people with great stories, I could definitely talk to them for days straight if I wasn’t backpacking throughout Japan. Overall Yamanakako is a hidden gem and there is no better place to stay and experience it than Guesthouse Murabito.

Our time at Teiensaryo was incredible! It's a family-run place and they were incredibly generous with their time and other gifts. The onsen facilities were well-equipped and easy to understand. Everything! This was a delightful cottage in a great location. It was a huge advantage that we had a hire car but I don’t know how often the local bus service would come to this area. To be able to drive 3 minutes around the lake to see sunset and sunrise on Mt Fuji was unbelievable.
