The tropical garden at the bed and breakfast is delightful. We enjoyed Marita's wonderful breakfast as we gazed over beautiful foliage and bird-watched. The hosts gave excellent suggestions about area activities and provided a very helpful map. Watching the sunset from the nearby lake park was terrific.

The room and bathroom were very spacious yet felt cozy, almost like you were in your own home. The hosts were super accommodating and helped us plan our outings and provided us with things to do that no book or website could offer. The breakfasts were top notch and so so delicious that we we looked forward to them each morning. Can't say enough about how great this place was. No detail was too small for them to ignore and help out with. Would go back again 10 out of 10 times.

Situated in Nuevo Arenal and only 22 km from Venado Caves, Lucky Bug Bed And Breakfast features accommodation with lake views, free WiFi and free private parking. Lucky Bug is a fantastic place to stay, we had a great time there. Monika and Rob are brilliant hosts, so helpful and made us feel so welcome. Lucky Bug is in a beautiful setting with small lake and rain forest all around and the rooms are lovely and comfortable. Eating on the terrace over looking the lake is a great spot to eat and the food is really good - great breakfast every day! Would thoroughly recommend Lucky Bug.

Set in Tronadora and only 43 km from Sky Adventures Monteverde, Lakeview Arenal 1 Bed Suite, Communal Pool & Gym - 2024 Traveller Awards Winner offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and... We had such a great stay, we even extended it for one more day. It‘s a great property to stay in, very quiet with just nature around. The club house offers a lot of on top activities, such as table tennis, billiards, on some mornings you can even find a breakfast service. You can also book a massage (I recommend). The pool is absolutely fantastic! The hosts made us feel very welcome. They furnished the house with very much love and with best quality equipment (we have not experienced anywhere else in Costa Rica). Situated in El Castillo de la Fortuna in the Alajuela region with Arenal Eco Zoo nearby, Vulkan Arenal Amazing View Lodge 4 WD offers accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to spa... We loved almost everything about this place. We were looking for somewhere quiet and secluded with amazing views. And we couldn’t have found anywhere better on all three counts. Idyllic.

Spacious accommodation with lots of amenities. Patio looks out over large, well maintained tropical garden paradise with colourful birds visiting bird feeders. Very comfortable beds. Property manager gave a good orientation and was responsive to questions.

Pie in the Sky 3 Amazing Luxury Home with Lake and Volcano view is a semi-detached holiday home set in El Fosforo in the Alajuela Region and is 13 km from Fortuna. A wonderful place! ... Really "in the sky", all around only nature, no view of houses. Very good for birdwatching, toucans come by daily and hummingbirds are everywhere. There is an observation platform. You can see the volcano and Lake Arenal from everywhere on the property and the many armchairs grouped around the house. The people from the agency are very friendly and helpful. We missed some things in the kitchen and bedside lamps, everything was done immediately. You have to know that there are three units on the property. In addition to the large house with four bedrooms (which we rented), there is a (very) small unit in a kind of garden house for 2 people and another house with 2 bedrooms.

Situated in El Fosforo in the Alajuela Region, this holiday home is 13 km from Fortuna. Guests benefit from patio. A microwave, a toaster and a fridge can be found in the kitchen. The view is amazing. We were waisted because everything we saw during the hikes couldn’t compete with our place. And lot’s of Kolibri’s and butterflies in the garden.

Boasting garden views, Gingerbread Restaurant & Hotel offers accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a bar, around 21 km from Venado Caves. We absolutely loved the cooler temperatures. Be prepared for a unique experience…the shower had ornate ceiling with plants growing inside and up above. Breakfast was served “family style” and the owner/chef engaged with his guests. The beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. Surrounded by lush forest!
