They place incense, which gives it a very pleasant atmosphere. An extraordinary experience to rest in a Ryokan in a magical destination. Kousu Ke takes care of the property and was an extraordinary person, kind and very helpful. He solved a problem for me with the shipment of a package that he had lost at a destination prior to our arrival, and made sure I received it at my next destination. There cannot be a better host. The location is unbeatable, a couple of blocks from the main street. Walking to the bay took you through the little streets of traditional houses, and you could see the residents going about their daily lives.

We were greeted at the door and removed our shoes. The family room relied on futons for bed and a low table. Very spacious compared to some of the more standard rooms that we have been in. So if this is not exciting then the location is fantastic - almost in the A Bomb Dome itself. Local restaurants are also good and we enjoyed okonomiyaki. Sadly we were not brave enough to try the 7th floor baths.
