Medalin Lake Gregory is a guest house situated in the Lake Gregory district of Nuwara Eliya. Medalin lake was perfect for the purpose of our stay. we stayed one night in Nuwara Eliya to take the morning train to Ella. Navashka and her family are amazing, they welcome you with a beautiful smile and caring about everything you need. breakfast was great and the view from the balcony was beautiful facing Gregory lake. very recommended:)

It’s a unique property, just few steps away from all the buzz. Cabana is truly amazing, every little detail is thought through. Gorgeous bathroom, with bathtub overlooking the little town and the mountains. Facilities- top class! Better than some 5* Hotels. But all of that would be nothing, without amazing Host, who met us with a biggest smile and was there every time we needed something. Food set up, quality is out of this world. Situated just 3.1 km from Gregory Lake, Vibe way (Hostel & Market farm) provides accommodation in Nuwara Eliya with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. Clean simple rooms and an excellent location. The host is very helpful and quick to respond to any questions I had via text. I can’t imagine a better location. We were able to walk to dinner at the Grand hotel in about 5 mins and the view from the outdoor seating area was excellent!

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, Serendipity Lake Artistic Bungalow by Heidis Home is situated in Nuwara Eliya, 1.2 km from Gregory Lake and 6.1 km from Hakgala Botanical Garden. the room was huge, and as it was on the 1st floor it had a nice view of the lake and tea covered hill. The eclectic style and vibe of the house was awesome. If you want a a hotel with caracter you will love this.

The host is super friendly and helped us with everything we needed. Breakfast was super delicious. Unfortunately we stayed only 1 night, because we had to move to another location. Thank you once more. 😊

Located 1.9 km from Gregory Lake, THE EDGWARE offers 3-star accommodation in Nuwara Eliya and features a garden. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. Warm arrival with a hot or cold drink, great atmosphere created by amazing staff. Breakfast was beautiful, if you get a chance eat your dinner at the accommodation, it was our best meal of the trip. Wish we stayed longer.

Araa and his mother are such great hosts and the kindest people ever. Room is clean, shower hot, blankets warm. Breakfast is local and very good. Mom prepared amazingly delicious dinner for us, probably the best meal we had in Sri Lanka. Araa took us on tea factory & waterfalls tour for a good price and it was very enjoyable. He also went out of his way and picked us from some distant village where we got stuck after our train stopped. We felt like at our home and would definitely come back. :)

He came and explained all sightseeing places. His wife chitra even offered us to see how she cooks srilankan food. Everyone must try chitra special sandwich.
