Fabulous room with a cosy balcony overlooking Lake Victoria, magical! Room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Hot water and a powerful shower was a delight! The new bar and restaurant area is an added bonus, good call David! The Margarita’s and G&Ts were a real treat, thanks to Jennifer’s newly acquired mixology skills. Dinner was delicious, I had goat stew, it was the best I had. Safe, secure, welcoming. Offering a garden and garden view, Home On The Nile Ernest Hemingway Suite is set in Jinja, 6.4 km from Jinja Railway Station and 10 km from Source of the Nile - Speke Monument. Truly, having travelled to probably 70 countries over the past thirty years, this is place I will remember and yearn to return to the most. I actually changed my travel plans so that I could return for a second night a few days after the first. The location is second to none (I know some people may prefer to be "in town" but its a beautiful ten minute walk and the site, on the banks of the Nile, is heavenly!) - the hosts and staff just so genuine and welcoming and accommodating and the room everything I could have wanted.

All the staff in Buutu Nest is extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. No matter if you need some recommandation for eating, sightseeing or activities, they will always have some inspiring ideas for you. Alan and Robert were very helpful with organising tubing on the Nile, a rainforest walk and a budget safari in murchison falls nationalparc for us. (I need to emphasise, that they don't try to sell their own packages, even though they're operating rafting and safari tours themselves, but really take into account your personal needs and wishes!) Big bonus is the great breakfast, that is freshly prepared by Rosette and Judith every morning. The two of them are two happy faces, always giving you the feeling to be very welcome at that place. They also took good care of our laundry, that was washed (by hand!), dried, ironed and delivered in one day. Thank you very much for making Buutu Nest a home for us.
